Weather Services Stopped Working
I noticed last Friday that I ac no longer access weather updates in my car. When I click on it, it says "retrieving data" but after a few minutes is tells me "data not available". Anyone else have this issue? Suggestions welcomed or guess I need to take it to the dealer.

Along the same lines, I remember older Lexus getting traffic data from satellite radio so when the subscription expired so did the traffic data. Since the IS gets the data from HD radio does that mean it's subscription free and will never expire?

This happened to my 2014 IS350 AWD. Neither the weather nor traffic would update. The dealer said there was an update to the system needed. They updated and no longer have the issue. Occasionally the weather doesn't update but the traffic does (very occasional though). Since the update have never had the traffic not update.

how i fixed HD radio and weather not updating
This happened to me as well 2 hours after leaving the dealer. The official word at this point is you need to force the radio to update. The way to do this, at least for me, was to delete all personal data, remove the Lexus from my Bluetooth on my phone, disconnect the battery, wait 2 hours, reconnect. Now here is the important part, when you reconnect the battery don't turn on the radio until the vehicle is outside. I did this twice in my garage to no avail, then I pulled out of the garage and turned the radio on, go to lexus enform and the update started downloading and all is fine.
I think the update is satellite fed and for some reason if it doesn't see the signal the first time its triggered, then it doesn't seem to look anymore. YMMV.

Thanks all for the advice. I'll try the hard reboot as khowland suggested. funny thing is, my SA called me back yesterday and told me the weather feed is done from my phone, not the HD radio! I think he's wrong on that, but now I'm thoroughly confused. I don't want to take it into the dealer for a day and go through that hassle for a weather feed.

How do you know if this is caused by outage in the area and not an issue with something else?

Not sure if it's outage related but when traffic stopped working weather also didn't work on mine. But it all started working by itself except the weather map didn't work, it says "Data not available", then it's working again after updating to Enform related app today.
