I use to do triathlons. I had three bikes that were over $7000 each. A good rack is a great investment when you are serious about your "toys". Kind of like $2000 exhaust systems!

Enjoy!

I saw that, thanks!

I have been trying to get around to posting some better pictures on here.

Mine took quite a bit of work to get it to fit right, I almost scrapped the idea and returned the pieces I didn't modify. After getting it installed, I dont understand why Thule's stance is to not make a fit kit. It has plenty to grab onto. It was just a PITA getting the 2IS fit kit to work, especially in the rear.

I do want to give my apology for not specifically breaking down in various pictures throughout my process when I did it, I just don't spend too much time on here. It would have made it that much more simpler for you I am sure if I did provide a complete break down.

I am very happy that you went through and got your rack to custom fit. What is strange is that a Instagram pal (Eugene407) bought his 3iS FSport with a roof rack actually installed from the dealer. I asked him for the specs and who makes hit foot pack and fit kit and he told me that its actually from Lexus.. OEM. He is from Russia and I would love to see if the US can purchase this.

Here are some shots of Eugene's iS250 FSport with Genuine Lexus iS Roof Rack Fit Kit Straps and Foot Pack I believe the bars are Lexus too even though they look like Thule. When I asked he told me he doesnt know about the bars be actual Lexus made or not:

Bomber setup! I have been wondering how truly different the roof geometry was to now allow a 2IS fit kit to work.

Can you throw up a closeup of the tower and fitment around the door frame?

Also, it seems that onepointon's feedback differs from yours about the fitment of the rear mounting tabs. Your comment is that the rear doesnt need any modification and front needs a slight bend whereas onepoinon's seems to need much more massaging. Thoughts?

Thanks and can't wait to order mine up!

Definitely looks nice. Been thinking on getting one either roof or trunk mounted which I can take off easier, but still afraid os scuffing up the paint.

Three Bike Mount Rails. I fitted onto the car with the previous 2iS fitkit and customized it to clamp onto the door sills. Before anyone asks it was $1,150.00 for the full system.

I am going to the website and Thule says they don't have any racks that fit our car? Did you just do this anyway? If so, any problems?

You may not get the answer you need. That was posted a little over 6 years ago.

Looks like they posted part #s and an adapter was used.

Ok, thank you - I'm looking at this because I found a 2014 IS 350 with 25k for 21k. I really want an SUV, but that's such a great value I'm trying to convince myself if I put a roof rack/hitch on it, I'll be able to do most of the things I could with an SUV (aside from possibly transport a future dog I don't even have yet ). Any thoughts? I want to buy a house next year and want to ensure I have something I can take 4 people on a road trip with/pick up things occasionally.

I put a Drawtite hitch on mine a couple years ago to use with a bike rack. Works fine, but you won’t want to lower the car with it on, as it sits pretty low to clear the diffuser and I do scrape it occasionally if I’m not careful.
