I seem to recall a couple threads on this subforum talking about it being related to some of the ebrake hardware, and a simple fix at the dealer, but can't remember the specifics. I think quite a few folks have noticed it and had it fixed.
You are probably talking about this thread...

Loud clanking noise when going over bumpy road

They fixed mine by tightening the cable and greasing the inside of the hubs. The noise went away completely, then came back a few months later, so they retightenined it and greased it better, said one side was not lubricated enough, and so far it's been 4 months or so, no clunk.

my car (fsport) is having the same problems too and it happens whenever i drive over a harsh bump. my friends are so sure it is something with the suspension. i will try to bring it to the dealership next week to see what they have to say. but i will suggest to the service dept what was quoted above ^ & update as soon as i can

I've same noise from my f-250 f sport. my noise is same as you've described it clunks on bad paved road not so much that you'll feel it on your butt. my car made the noise from the day one and I've not yet taken the car back to dealer yet... I also have heated seat issues that many ppl from this forum has too... very disappointed for these lil issues.

I've noticed it a few times, usually don't catch it because I have music going but when I haven't, I have heard the same. Mine is a non f sport 250 though. Never really worried me because it wasn't consistent. But I can vouch it's not just f sport models. I've heard more coming out of a dip. Not really over harsh road.

I think I could be experiencing this issue also.

Is it a dull thumping/drumming sort of sound?

I have a 350 F Sport and have noticed an unusual noise that could almost be reminiscent of wind buffeting, on a duller, quieter scale.

It annoys me at times as I often like to cruise in silence, with the stereo off, to enjoy the peace.

Hi Everyone,

I have been told that Lexus is aware of this noise in the F Sport and they are not doing anything about it unless enough F Sport owners complaints to the dealer/manufacturer. This is known problem throughout the IS F Sport series so please contact your dealership and made the case with the dealership. You can request your dealership to have a Lexus Specialist to assess the vehicle and they will tell you that nothing can be done at this time but since you have reported the problem with Lexus, they will have to eventually correct the design flaw of the vehicle!! Please contact your dealership and made them known of this problem! Thank you all!!

I had the clunk and it was due to the suspension bottoming out via a broken shock. bwk seems to have had the same issue, so I'd lift the car up to make sure the shocks are OK.

I have an issue with my brand new vehicle and its happened twice already. I'm not sure if anyone had experienced the same thing but I went out of town for 2 days and when I got back my car was completely dead. I tried jump starting it and not a single light turned on. I had to tow the car back to the dealership. I was told that they did not see anything wrong with it and told me they replaced the battery just in case. I recently went on vacation and after a week I come back to a dead car again. The car was towed to the dealership once again and I was told that this happens when you don't use the car on a daily basis??? I was told there was nothing they could do and next time to use my car more often!!!! The only thing they explained was that it now has 29 computers instead of one so when its not in use it drains all the battery. I asked if this will happen every time I do not use my every for over 48 hrs and they could not respond.! if anyone had experienced anything like this please let me know ASAP

I routinely leave my 350 for 2 to 14 days while on business travel and have never had a drained battery upon my return.

@fabiolam11 - No, it has never happen to my vehicle. I had my car parked for over a week while on vacation. When I return from vaca, the car started with no issues.

I leave my car for days without using it and not issues. It is parked indoors and not locked however.

To confront them how ridiculous that your issue is normal, go back to the dealer and have them start up one of their IS's in the lot. I bet it will start.
