Default Bluetooth not connecting?

Hey CL members,

My car is having problems with its bluetooth.

Im my iPhone's settings, it says it is connected to the car, but on the car's screen, it shows that no phone is connected.

Also, in the media (music) sections, when I go to the bluetooth option, it says there is no device connected.

I can't use voice controls to make calls, and when I do it from my iphone, i have to put it on speaker because it simply wont connect to my car.

Texts also don't show up on the screen anymore.

Anyone know what I can do to get my phone connected to my car again???

Have you tried to un-pair your phone and re-pair it with the car? Since the car doesn't recognize it, disconnect it and "forget" it from your phone. Then search again for the car and re-pair it.

Exactly. Go under Bluetooth in Settings. Hit the little information "i" next to your Lexus device listing. Choose Forget this Device. Then re-pair.

I once changed the name of the lexus bluetooth broadcast signal. Everything was fine when I paired it, but when I connected my phone via USB to the car it went whacky. Restored default settings, unpaired, and paired again under the default name and it was back to normal.

This should do it. Had the same issue and that is how it was resolved. Had to wipe both the phone and the unit clean. Then re-add. No problems since.
