Default heated seat issue anyone?

hello... this is my first Lexus car and i'm having some issues so i'm seeking some help here first before taking the car back to dealer.

heated seat is just barely on that i can feel and notice it's on even on max 3 lighted lights lit. does anyone have same issues?

i've 2014 is250 F-sport with nav option. also, is all car a/c vented cooling for this IS250 as a standard or option?

First off, welcome to the CL forums thunderii!

Here is a great discussion on the heated seats in the IS: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-question.html

In the future, if you use the "Search" feature, it might help you get to an answer question. There have been a TON of things discussed here already and you can always bump/add to the existing topic if you are not satisfied with the responses (or have something else to add).

Regarding your 2nd question, I dont know enough about the IS250, but I'm sure someone else here will chime in.

All the best!

I have the heated/vented seats and I can say the heat kicks really strong at max. Even on lowest level, it warms nicely and start to feel it in around 30 seconds. The vented doesn't do too much, as it only blows light air, not A/C cool type air.

On the 250, the heated/vented seats come with the premium package, along with the LED headlights. Not sure if that differs from F-sport however.

14 IS 2/350 F-Sports have weak heating seats. I don't know if it is due to this new foam injection technique or what. But I hereby confirm that heating in my seats are not good and I heard many others have the same problem.

The heated seats in my F-sport are awful. I can never even tell if they're on or not. The ones in my 07 BMW were much better. Not sure if they're all like this but it kinda sucks. Still love the car though!

Just like everyone else is saying... the heated seats are horrible. I took it into lexus and they said that is normal and they can't change it.

Hmm... It is an interesting approach that the Lexus adopted. When selling a vehicle with heated seats that add applicable markup, the customer is expected to get a value for the money given up. Now if Lexus says that it is "normal" for the heating seats not to function as intended, would not that be considered fraud (charging money for a feature that does not exist or does not function as advertised).? I am taking my car for 5K service next week, lets see what they say to me.

Thanks for your post!

As mentioned, this is a known issue for which an extensive thread exists.

Unfortunately, Lexus has yet to either acknowledge or resolve the issue.

We have to be persistent and not accept anything short of a solution!

Please note that my dealer's shop foreman reported this to corporate under Case Number TA140150152, so please mention same to your dealer so we can get traction on this!

Thanks.
