Default How Many People have Scraped the Bottom Bumper of their F Sport

I just took a dip a little too fast and ended up scraping the bottom of my bumper. It's not visible, but it still bothers me a little. Wanted to see how many of you f sport owners have unfortuntely scraped the bottom of their bumper

+1000000

Many times. When I first bought the car, I had underestimated parking curbs as well as my driveway.

Now, I back into most parking spots, and made a ramp for the driveway. Also, bought a front lip to take most of the damage. But so far, its been pretty good.

Good to hear man. I was a little bummed about it but It's comforting knowing that I'm not the only one

Mine is lowered on RSR Half Downs. It's scraped a couple times, but it's not noticeable.

I think I may get a lip spoiler to protect the underbumper, but then it'll scrape more of course (but on the lip spoiler)

Yep, at least twice now and I've only had the car for about a month now. It's hard to tell where the lip is compared to a parking bumper. Now when I park I'm usually too far back in the space because I'm trying to prevent it. I know some people have mounted a camera just below the front lip, that would be handy.

How hard would it be for automakers to put parking sensors on all these bumper things default... jeesh.. it's 2017. I can't imagine they make much money from scrape repairs that they are shooting themselves in the foot, and wouldn't we all be happier customers?

Front parking sensors wouldn't even detect parking blocks or curbs. If they did, they would go off every time you approached speed bumps.

If I don't back into my driveway I scrape every time I pull out. So a couple times in the few weeks I have owned my IS.

I have never scraped on my IS350 F Sport, it usually goes right over the parking stop. The only reason why I don't want to lower the car. The bumper on the F sport is actually higher than my Sienna SE. LOL

Yea i think the car is at an average height, but the bumper is just long. I sat next to a buddies BMW and it was an inch or so lower.
