Default New to the forum and found new rear spoiler for the new IS

Hey guys~~ This is my first post. I am coming from the Audi crowd as I have owned a 2006 A4 2.0T Quattro and a 2010 A5 2.0T Quattro. Having driving all wheel drive for years and feeling frustrated about European cars' minor problems this and that, I have decided to get myself a more reliable daily driver. I got a IS 350 Fsport ultra white with black interior, got every options except the ML audio as I do not want to special order the car, only 3 ultra white IS350 Fsport are available to grab in Canada. Anyways...I have had the car for almost a week, love driving it around with the sport+ mode, everything is so solid, A++++ for the new IS. Let me share some pics of my old rides and the new ride!

The New Ride

And I was surfing tonight on the web and found some new rear spoiler for our car. Has anyone ever put that on their car yet?

Welcome!

That spoiler is way too big according to me. Spoils the IS lines.

I agree with jhs82. You should look at ones that come with kits like aimgain. It's more subtle but I think it adds to the look rather than detract it.

Not my cup of tea for that spoiler, I personally prefer the more subtle look, like the Aimgain one. Of course, to each their own

Doesn't flow with the lines of the car

Welcome aboard! That white Audi is gorgeous. Your new IS is equally as gorgeous.

If the seller on Ebay would add more pictures/different angles, he may have a better chance at showcasing the spoiler and therefore selling it, but as it shows up in that one closeup shot, it's a pass for me too as it's clunky and heavy looking.

BTW, congrats on making the move, another conquest buyer is in the house.

if you want a spoiler, get this mock TRD spoiler, looks the same, but much cheaper (sold on carid.com). Got it on my car:

How is the craftsmanship of the spoiler? Was it a good even paint job? Also did the double sides tape hold up, or did you have to use extra like the silicon glue or drilling suggested?

It looks like you purchased your car from OpenRoad Lexus in Richmond. I got my IS 350 FSport with the Nav package from them except in Ultra white and Rioja red interior. I special ordered mine and I waited 3 months.

Lucky you!! The 3 month wait for me was pretty dreadful.. So far I've only seen 1 other Ultra White around Richmond and it was a 250. Maybe we'll run into each one day! Any mods planned?

Yeah we might. I am planning to lower it, get a set of decent wheels and lastly throw on a body kit and exhaust...the car is still pretty new you dont see a lot of parts on the market yet so i might just wait a bit more before pulling the trigger on parts shopping.
