Can you configure the center display to start at the home screen when the car is turned on? Currently, it defaults to the navigation.

I can choose 2-3 different displays on startup. There's a button on top right corner of the screen to enter the setup.

There is a way to change the screen from defaulting to nav: go into settings, general, and turn auto screen change "off." (default is "on.") At that point, your system should remember the last screen. However, you cannot set the screen to default to "home" which begs the question--why did Lexus bother to create a screen named home if there's no default setting that will get you there?

My screen always starts on "home" screen.
Displaying navigation on the left side, radio on top right, and hybrid power screen bottom right.

Thanks for the suggestion. With auto screen change set to "off", the car will revert back to the last screen at startup with the exception of the home screen. For example, if I turn the car off with the navigation or audio screen last displayed, the car will start with the navigation or audio screen respectively. However, if I turn the car off with the home screen last up, the car will start with the navigation screen. Is this what you are experiencing?

My dealership suggested trying with auto screen change set to "on" and that did not work either. With auto screen change set to "on", the car still reverted back to the navigation screen at startup eventhough the car was shut down while the home screen was displayed.

To make things even more frustrating, the user manual states the car should always default to the home screen after startup. Exactly, what jhs82 is experiencing. My question is, why does the manual state this and jhs82 is experiencing this operation but my car is not?

I can only speculate that the European version of the 3is (note that jhs82 is in Sweden) allows access to the home screen, while the north American 3is does not. For example, in other markets, you can buy a 3is with a driver's memory seat--you can't in the US.

I've tried numerous steps to get my screen to default to Home, with no success. Maybe in other markets you can do it, but not in the States.

I would think this can be resolve by the technology guys at the dealership or a software update. Until then, I'll be pressing the home button (along with the rest of US owners).

As of now, it appears to not be possible, at least on US models. How silly is this?????

You guys could always just PUSH the "Home" button...I mean I know it takes a ton of effort and all....

The screen will always start up on the last "selection" e.g. if you opened "Nav" and then pressed the home button and left it that way when you turned off your car. Then the next time you start up it will automatically go to "Nav" same goes if you had "radio" on and then pressed home etc......

I have been interested in this as well. I experience the same issue. The auto screen change ”on” setting, will only revert you back to the nav screen or the audio screen or the climate screen when restarting the car, it just depends on what screen you were on to begin with when you turned off the car. if you're on the home screen however it will always revert back to the nav screen when you start the car. It will never go to the home screen, to do that you have to push the home button every time you get in the car. I talked to the technology specialist the Lexus dealership and he said that's what you had to do.

The funny thing is I have a 2015 Toyota sienna minivan that has the same setting but it will revert to the home screen every time you start the car. this tells me that it's definitely a bug in the software because it works in one version of the cars and not in another.

I have exactly the same problem. Even when I turn off the car with it showing the home screen, when I start the car, it reverts to the Nav screen. Frustrating.

The instructions for fixing this is detailed on post #3. Go into settings and turn auto screen change to off.
