smart key F-sport holder?
Hello,
To all you F-sport owners out there. Did you guys receive these F smart key cases? Or just a black one?
Only asking because the salesman said that I was suppose to get a regular black one but got these instead?
thanks

No f-sport here but I received two key gloves. One with silver rope and the other with black. i wonder why Lexus chose blue when everything on the f-sport centers around red.

Good observation...I think because the original branding color of all F sport line is blue. That's what I can see and tell whenever Lexus introduces accessories for F sport models. I love the blue tho since it stands out for performance and uniqueness of Lexus F sport models only. So this is a plus for F sport owners than the luxury models :-)

I may change color of threading to red as another member had to blue on his interior...

Lexus gives them to every customer. Whoever didn't get it, call them or go back to the dealer and ask for them, you are entitled to them, is part of their policies (I know it as a fact). The salesman is in charge of those details and he/she must give it to you when they hand the keys to you with all the paperwork after you finished paying for the car (or leasing or financing).
The regular covers are black, one comes with the black rope, and one with the grey rope. For the F Sport models, you receive the F Sport covers that have the Blue ropes (you get two as well).
As far as I am concerned, the older smart keys from the 2nd Gen IS (and that still many other Lexus models have) were better, the cover would fit perfectly. This new ones look plain and simple and the key itself inside the remote feels cheap. You would think the key would be the metal part but it is actually the opposite side which is all plastic. The covers are even worse as the fit is horrible, the holes for the buttons don't align as the elastic doesn't pull the cover in enough.
Only reason I use the covers is to avoid scratches on the smart key.
