Yeah, the escort 9500ci isn't cheap but I actually got it cheaper than that. I paid about $1300 for it, which I know... isn't cheap but I actually like the system and the new laser shifter's in this model. Anyways, not to thread jack...back to the audio!!!

The pioneer amp and wiring diagram is identical for both cars. I was do my research in the IS forum because nobody in the ES forum is modifying their cars.
That's good to know they use the same connectors. My plan is to figure out how to buy or find some factory plugs. I want to make my own harness so I don't need to cut any wires. I know there's a site out there that produces plain automotive plugs so I will have to look for it. If OEM Audio+ can make a harness for the FT86/ScionFRS/SubaruBRZ then I don't see why we can't lol.

Though, I am curious if the non-ML systems already have wires going to the ML speaker locations.

It would be nice if Klipsch made some car audio speakers... I wouldn't mind putting two RF-7 II woofers in the rear

Did you end up amping the speakers? How did it turn out?

Hahaha still planning. Honestly I haven't had a chance to complete it but I was just looking at speakers this week. I think I want to go with some Hertz speakers and I might see what they sound like with the stock amp if I match the Ohms. Personally, I'm looking for speakers that are very efficient and will require little power to produce quality and SPL. Usually that will cost more so Hertz is what I am looking at right now.

If I end up amping them it should be easy since I am going to look for the connectors to plug directly into the factor amplifier's output. That way I don't cut any of the wires on the factor harnesses..... but it will be difficult to do. Still researching here but when I go to make my move I hope to post more information too.. I would like to do a proper build thread if I can with pictures and results...

Looking forward to it!
Do you happen to have the speaker specs as far as sizes, types, etc?

I've been searching all day and have only been able to find a break down of the wattage

So far the best information I can find is was on one of our threads listed below...However, it is for the GS, which I want to believe has a similar speaker setup (so take it with a grain of salt LOL). I've been searching around the internet but still not having too much luck.... That is why I am hoping to consolidate information of what I've found and what I've done when I get around to affording to buy the equipment.

Check this link out: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...he-2014-a.html

But I would imagine the doors are 6.5". Dash is probably 3.5". Tweeters are 1" and sub is 8". I don't think there are speakers in the rear deck, just the sub.

Honestly, no updates yet. I got sidetracked with graduate school and installing some Focal speakers in my GMC Sierra. However, I did get the amplifier wire pulled on the passenger side. That was pretty quick.

Long story short, I am needing to replace my factory Mark Levinson amp on my 2014 IS350. Warranty replacement is not an option. Any suggestions on whether I should spend money on another Mark Levinson (found used unit for $700) or invest my money in an aftermarket amp? I want to keep it simple and leave my stock speakers and wiring.

So they may have more potential like Bass Mech had stated.

I'm wondering if we can install the ML amp on a premium system even if we don't have all the speakers of the ML system. This might be a better way to get a little more power to the premium setup without any major modifications. Then I'd like to add dual 10" or 12" subwoofers in a custom molded box painted to the color of the car.

I'm working with Dan at Integrity Concepts to build some custom boxes (they can use regular auto carpet or be custom painted) and they will use the dead space in the left/right corner of the trunk. I currently have these installed in my Scion FRS with a custom sound stage and 8-channel DSP/amp done by OEM Audio Plus. I'm hoping to take the information that everyone has supplied here for the Gen 3 IS350 and produce some other ideas.

Keep me posted and I'll keep you posted

Edit: As for the sub boxes, I told Dan that there may be people on the forum interested on these subwoofer boxes which could lead to a group buy or promotional discount during the developmental phase.
Hi,

I'm very interested by this option, even if I have to upgrade the speakers. Now will that really work with the 10 speakers?

Thanks.

Hey, how r u? I like your ML AUDIO post on Lexus 2002 SC 430. I have been reading a lot of wind on here, but I would like to pay you for a suggested system, using my original ML and fully enhance it up today’s technology. I live in CA. I can’t see repairing a speaker in a $65,000 car with glue! I have read everything on this forum and there are some very knowledgeable members, with excellent ideas and fixes. Sharing the knowledge is the best.

Cheers,
S
I can go further into what my specifics are if we make contact.

Can you please get in touch with me? larham3030@yahoo.com
