IS 350F Demo with 6,300 miles
Hey guys -
I'm completely new to all of this stuff and have been reading as much as I can to educate myself. I test drove an IS 350F last week and fell in love. The dealer told me it was a demo for the region manager that was waiting on a Lexus she had ordered that was stuck at a port in Jacksonville. The 350F is fully loaded and retails at $48k, but after a little negotiation, offered it to me for $42,500. I guess I'm just wondering if this is a good deal, considering the car has over 6k miles on it already.
Thanks!

I can't speak to the price, but someone earlier had typed that you should avoid these demo cars because previous drivers may have floored the gas pedal and may have filled it up with 87 octane. The damage might be done ....

Agreed. Not sure about the price either. May be too high for what is ultimately a used car. If you are really interested, you may want to see if you can get them to certify it. Without changing the price upwards!

They might be hard miles, but with my experience in this brand I doubt there is anything to worry about! Especially if it was a regional manager. You can bet there were almost all highway miles, and they ALWAYS used premium gas. They write it off, so they aren't going to buy the cheap stuff. Either way, I've beat the living **** out of all 3 of my Lexi up past 150k miles and never had any problems with anything. I doubt a little rough driving for 6k miles and 1 or 2 tanks of 87 octane gas is going to do anything to this car. I think for the price it's a good deal.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I was originally wanting at 250F, but when he offered to let me drive the 350F, I jumped at the chance. Is the only difference between the 250F and 350F just the 100-HP?

I think some people are getting new ones for 45K plus taxes, etc. Check this thread, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-350-a-24.html.
I paid about 45.5K the weekend it came out. 42K seems too high.
