I have a problem reading my text messages through my Nav screen , I have an iphone 5 , anyone that can help me fix this problem ?

My text messages does not pop up on my screen and I did everything the dealer told me to do , I made sure the show notifications was on the Lexus Bluetooth .

Android or iPhone? Have you turned the car off yet since switching the show notifications to on?

I have an iphone 5 and yes I have , I did a hard reset as well and still nothing . I really want to get this working but such a pain so far :-(

Tried deleting and re-pairing?

I have tried that as well and nothing , everything else works great with the Bluetooth and the text is my only problem .

Last thing I can think of is find another iPhone, one as similar in spec to yours be it a friends or family members and pair it to the car and try a test text. This should help decipher if the issue is with the your phone, or something your local dealer should look into.

Thanks I'll give it a try in the morning and see what happens . I appreciate your help and let u know if it worked .

text messages will not display when the vehicle is in motion, but the nav voice will still read the message to you. when you stop the messages will be displayed again. my gs works exactly the same way.

I have also been unsuccessful at getting it to work with my iPhone 5. You're not alone. ;-)

When I bought the car the sales rep paired it and everything worked fine. I took it in for a nav update and had to repair it myself and now text doesn't work. Anyone else with the same issue?

That's stinks , you would think something this easy would work , but hopefully I can get this solved quick , if anyone gets it working before I do ,please fill me in .

just to clarify, you are unable to see the message on the NAV screen when the car is at a complete stop?

I tried it both ways when the car was stopped and when it was moving . The dealer told me it had to be moving and the screen on my phone had to be off , so tried it and got nothing still . Does anyone have a video they can post to show how it works using an iphone 5 ?
