The engine output is actually 314 hp (318 PS) and 280 ft lb. Comparing those to the 306 hp and 277 ft lb in the IS350, the power bump is very insignificant if not negligible. I doubt people would feel any difference with their butt dyno. Even actual dyno runs won't be able to tell such a small difference

Maybe when the face lift comes. But there is only so much you can do with a N/A engine, and I don't see Lexus dropping a turbo six in the IS until next model cycle. Although I still prefer N/A engines over turbo ones, they seem to be a dying breed.

The LA Times says it is based on the GS. So it will be a "larger" coupe and I am thinking some "anti-coupe" people might be pleasantly surprised.
