Any information about the 318hp output stated on the international website? Possibly an increase in the Compression Ratio?

The engine output is actually 314 hp (318 PS) and 280 ft lb. Comparing those to the 306 hp and 277 ft lb in the IS350, the power bump is very insignificant if not negligible. I doubt people would feel any difference with their butt dyno. Even actual dyno runs won't be able to tell such a small difference

I wonder if the IS will get a bump in HP (more than 314hp) within the next 3 years...

Maybe when the face lift comes. But there is only so much you can do with a N/A engine, and I don't see Lexus dropping a turbo six in the IS until next model cycle. Although I still prefer N/A engines over turbo ones, they seem to be a dying breed.

facelift? I'm new to lexus but with this new body style, what is the cadence for Lexus to have a facelift on the 3IS? Its time to update the V6 306hp power train already!!

Seems a lot of us are coupe lovers. I am also anticipating this new car and so hope it has the legroom of most coupes....and power.

The LA Times says it is based on the GS. So it will be a "larger" coupe and I am thinking some "anti-coupe" people might be pleasantly surprised.

I am loving the 2-toned seats. Really looking forward to this car.
