Default Good deal or not on IS250

First time leasing a car and I was wondering if this is a good deal? I know the ad says it expires OCT 31st but they are extending the deal.

That is going to be one of those ads for 1 or 2 cars at a special price with little options. The one you are going to want isn't going to be near that price. If you can wait a few more weeks the December to Remember sale for Lexus starts around Thanksgiving.

I wish we had these prices in Canada. Even the base 250 with $4649 down (read the fine print above) will set you back ~$400 + taxes @24 months. So for me $239/month that's a super good deal, but as Skinnyfats said, the deal may just be limited to the base model.

Thats a pure base model car with no options and a ton of money total down in the fine print.

This is another one of those scummy dealers that tries to lourer in the masses by playing word games and being sneaky. This old-school sleaze is a disservice to the Lexus brand and far more common to GM and first-time buyer type dealerships. By saying "$1995 cash down," they are conveniently forgetting to say the actual total outlay of cash is more than double that (all kinds of fees and capital charges). It's in the fine print, or should be. The more common ads state total cash outlay, minus tax, license, and doc fees. This is the inudstry standard, yet a few places still play the old game. This business model ultimately builds disappointment and poor customer relations.
Again, another example of why one should always read the fine print.
