3IS in massive Fullerton, CA pile-up?
Local news was showing a terrible head-on accident that occured Thursday in Fullerton. One of the cars at the bottom of the pile looked to either be a new grey IS or ILX. The rim was all that was visibly left, so it was really hard to tell. Looked like the 18" 350 non-sport rim.
Anyone have more information on this wreck or the car involved? I hope it was no one from here.

FULLERTON, Calif. (KABC) -- Eight vehicles were involved in a twisted traffic wreck at Harbor Boulevard and Valencia Mesa Drive in Fullerton on Thursday afternoon.
Police say one of the drivers was going the wrong way on Harbor Boulevard. A Ford pickup truck was upside-down and on top of an SUV just behind a mangled sportscar. A minivan, another SUV and several sedans surrounded the locus of the wreck.
Fullerton police and medical personnel responded to the scene. At least one person was killed in the wreck.
The collision happened near St. Jude Medical Center. An eyewitness told police the truck driver was speeding on Harbor Boulevard and hit several cars.
Initial reports indicate the truck driver was killed. Five people were injured and transported to area hospitals in unknown conditions.
One police vehicle was involved to the side of the main wreck.
The incident was under investigation and was expected to be ongoing for hours.
Harbor Boulevard was closed from Bastanchury Road south to Brea Boulevard indefinitely while the investigation was underway.

Pics 14-16 in the OC Register show the car in question. It's in front and on top of the yellow F-150. If one knows the top shape of the new IS or ILX hood, it's identifiable. Looks like a dome in the center.

I concur with the prior comment -- it looks like a prior gen 350z. Those had more of a 'dome' in the hood after the mid-cycle refresh. The cutout for the headlight also appears to match, as well as the wheels. 3IS wheels are slightly more 'rounded' at the edges. Compare to this picture.
Terrible wreck.

Yep, that's it! The grey car with the domed hood is indeed a Z. The new IS350 premium certainly has similar rims.
Thanks all for the detective work. Fortunately, only the speeding, wrong way driver died. Everyone else is expected to recover.

Agreed. I should have worded it as "fortunately, no other people died."
