Default 2014 IS F question

before I retreat back to the 2nd gen IS land, i thought I would sneak up here where the cool kids are and ask a question regarding the 2014 IS F. I see where there are 2 models, the 250F and 350F, both with less than 400hp each. If I recall correctly, the 2012 F sport had 400+ HP. Where is the 2014 F with over 400 hp? I was curious.

Different cars! These are IS250 and IS350 F-Sport. I read on the front page that 2014 IS-F were coming.

The 250F and 350F that you're referring to are F-Sport, which is just a package (i.e. F-Sport package and Luxury package), and they're not the IS-F. I don't think Lexus has updated the body style of the 2014 IS-F yet.

Oh boy another F vs F-Sport. Let's try to use the correct terminology and not be lazy when writing IS F-Sport / IS-F. If you see this happen, kindly correct the member.

OP, you can get the fully redesigned 2014 IS250 and IS350 in F-Sport trim but the 2014 IS-F is a carry over bodystyle of the 2IS for the year until the RC-F comes as a replacement. The next "IS-F" was somewhat recanted and we're not sure if we'll see it in a four door body style again (I sure hope they offer it.)

This is a bit annoying, because I do not not understand how anyone would confuse them, or simply assume that The F-Sport is the same thing as the IS-F. Yes, the lettering is sort of similar, but car designations are not like horseshoes. There is exact match in lettering, and there is everything else. And if you have a question of this nature, the first thing you do is try to do some research, and if you make any effort to do that, one thing that you learn right away is that the IS-F is still a current model.
