Custom Clear bra - full wrap vs. partial - opinions?
Hello all that have done clear bra -- a few questions?
i'm contemplating on doing a full wrap (full front fenders and full hood) but am not sure about orange peel effects and durability over time?
pricing is around $1600 for full wrap (hood/fenders/mirrors/handles/etc) vs. partial precut installed $800
1. yellowing after a few years on ultra white paint?
2. orange peel effect on full wrap?
3. how often need replacement?
Here are some pics of the shop I'm going to get it done.. he actually did full custom wrap for a customer's 3IS last week.. she was very satisfied.

I did the partial on the GS. Next time I will do the full wrap, only because I have a couple small chips above the line on the hood.

its partial. Ive never had a ding above the curved part of the hood. Im sure for 1600$ it will be way nicer than what I am going to get for 650 though but Ill post pics of mine anyway tomorrow night.

Yep, the entire thing. Initially I was just going to get the front bumper, mirrors, hood, and rockers done but figured with kids around and other random elements it'd be better just to do the entire thing. Plus with the car being Obsidian I figured it would deal with the swirl marks as well.

I've seen the entire car. $2,000 is REALLY cheap for the whole car though...I'll be very interested to see how that turns out.

That is really cheap. I did a full hood, front bumpers, fenders, side mirrors, headlights, rockers, door edges, partial back fenders, and rear bumper. I had my Lexus bumper applique removed so the films would all be the same, and did a full rear bumper so there wouldn't be any lines. The total was $2,300.
Two of the rear doors and rear fenders had film on them, but the door had a smaller piece than the fender and it looked really ugly, so my guy redid them. The new one is slightly larger than what the dealer put on and it's not as thick so you can't really see the lines unless you're up close.

Where in CA did you get your work done? Any pics of the job? what brand did your Installer use? VentureShield or Xpel?
