Just compared the IS and the 3 series heated seats. IS is weak compared to 3 series.

My IS350 F-sport is hotter than my old E90 335i. But I have the 2015.

I disagree with you on this. The center console in 3IS is garbage! It constantly creaks and cracks. Lexus put felt three times already and it is still not 100% fixed. Just touch the plastic around the center console. It is very thin and soft. It is similar to the plastic used in Toyota corolla. ES on the other hand has this solid heavy thick material.

Sorry OP for highjacking your thread.

Wouldn't go to the extent of saying it's garbage, but I agree; similar to Corolla and ES is superior.

as I posted earlier I visited Smithtown Lexus with the same complaint and I was told that they are working as designed I then followed up with Lexus corporate and the woman on the phone was very rude and told me that there is no fix or recall on the seat heaters and that there is nothing I can do at this moment she said it as per the dealership they are working and are working accordingly. The service tech claims in his paperwork report on my car that he compared my car to another 2014 IIS 350 which is bull****. so I brought it up to the dealer I brought it up to Lexus corporate and I see almost every single person with an F sport made in the year 2014 is having the same issue I'm basically being told to go **** myself and that they're knocking to do anything for us

I've had the same experience and feel the same.

Please keep us posted every step of the way, and if you obtain an attorney.

Thank you.

Very interesting, strange but true: I just turned on the heated seats for the first time this season today, as colder temps come to CT. I noticed my seat felt much warmer than last winter when I first got the car. Unprompted, my wife noticed the same thing from the passenger side.

Maybe the seating material compressed some since last winter?

Class action lawsuit? There are sure enough owners affected by faulty heating seats to justify the lawsuit.

I'm calling TMI on you. That said, I have to agree. I have a 2014 non F-Sport. Perhaps it's the F-Sport seats that are the problem? I should also disclose that my car is a late 2014 model. It was delivered to the dealer during the last week of July. I believe it was the last shipment of '14 IS's this dealer was receiving because '15's started arriving 2 weeks later.

Also have a 2014 Non- F Sport (April 2014 build date) and used them for the first time this week. They seem fine, not as warm as my 2IS but warm enough. Did notice during the summer months that the ventilated fan noise is very loud.

I've been told by my dealership that this issue was "normal" as the nuluxe seats are perforated. My F30's seats get uncomfortably hot!

Mine was an early 2014, non F sport. Like yours, my seats get nice and warm. Same as in my RX.

After testing out the Heat Seats in my 2014 IS250 AWD F-sport, I noticed that at max setting, it's warm.

At max setting, it's similar to most other heat seats at low setting.

Any setting lower than max, you won't feel much heat at all. Therefore, it's important to cancel the timer setting on the heat seats, so they stay at max all the time.

But it's definitely a design issue with the F-sport heated seats, because at max setting it should be hot enough that the user will feel uncomfortable and change to a lower setting.
