My 2015 IS350 F-sport has the warmest seat heaters of any car I've ever owned. Not only that, but they warm up incredibly fast as well.

The 2015 must have a different seat as they are cooled as well - the 2014 seats are not cooled.

Let us know what they say. I have a 2014 and have noticed the same thing where it doesn't get that warm at all.

I feel for you guys with the 2014 models. Seems to be a widespread issue, which tells me they are poor by design. Thus there's nothing to "fix."

With the addition of the cooling function, it seems as though they also re-designed the heating function on the 2015 models. The fact that the 2015 seat heaters work great is probably as close as you're going to come to get Lexus to admit there is a problem with the 2014 models. Also, do you know if it's all 2014 models, or perhaps just the early builds? Sometimes manufacture's quietly update things, hoping they don't alert all the early purchasers that there was an issue.

After reading this thread, I too do not think both my driver/passenger seat gets any hot at all...my old car (99' acura tl) gets way hotter then this!

are any of you guys needing to pay for the dealership to look into this? or do they not charge you? Thanks.

They most definitely should not charge you to look into this. After all, your car is practically brand new and under warranty.

I'd suggest having a tech sit in a 2014 for 5 minutes, then a 2015. My 2015 gets hot to the point it's uncomfortable - and fast, so from what you guys are saying, the difference should be VERY noticeable.

If some 2014 models seem to be working fine, that makes me think that Lexus came up with a fix at some point during production and just kept the issue on the down low.

I just had a 2015 ES as a loaner. I can attest her that a seat heating function works really well on ES. The front seats on my '14 3IS barely get warm. There is a big difference in heating between my IS and the ES that I just dropped off at Lexus. Yeah, there is definitely something not right here.

Also on a different note I just want to say how good the ES is. This ES costs less than my 3IS but boy does it have a better interior fit and finish. Very quite and materials used are superb. The center console on ES is what it is supposed to be on a luxury sedan. Very solid plastic material used. Again compare that to 3IS, poorly executed center console.

Isn't the ES boring to drive though? I like the IS interior as it's young and sporty. The ES and GS look more polished and sophisticated, but also appeal to an older crowd.

Yeah, it is hella boring. But for the intended audience it does check all the boxes.

Are you blind and have no feeling in your fingertips? The ES interior is garbage!
