I drive the IS300H non F sport. I am going to put on 18inch winter tires. I also went to sewell parts, but 4 sensors include shipping is 567 dollar, and then they still have to be mount here by the dealer. The dealer overhere charge 130 dollar a hour.

Anyone know any good snow tires for the IS 350 f sport RWD?

Haven't had to buy any so do not have much experience in looking/researching.

I had the LM-60's on my XFR. No complaints at all and not too pricey.

I purchased IS350 F Sport RWD and will be getting second rims for winter/summer and thinking of going with Michelin X-Ice Xi3. Based on the ratings on Tirerack.com these perform the best, quietest and have the best warranty.

For stock F Sport wheels I'm thinking of going with 225/40/18 in fronts and 245/40/18 in rears. If I decide to go with 18x8 wheels all the way around for winter then I'll go with 225/40/18 all the way around.

I looked a those and a few others (posted at bottom). Also, aren't you supposed to buy snow tires that are all the same size? For example, lexus comes with 18" wheels so the snow tires should be 17". I guess thats if you follow the rules. Im just getting confused when I find good tires and then not knowing what size to get them in.

Im looking at these along with the Xi3 you posted. Lemme know what ya think.

Not sure what rule you are referring to. F Sport comes with two different size tires on fronts and rear even on AWD. If you go with 17" or 18" may be more of personal preference but general consensus is that thinner tires would work better for winter.

I got those wheels from the dealer. 18x8 for the 4 wheels with Michelin PA4 (225/40R18). I'm mainly driving in the city during winter.

Hi all.

I'm probably getting an IS350 this spring-summer and a major question I have is which drivetrain to choose. I live in Quebec, which means we get a fair amount of snow and sometimes even freezing rain. As I type this it's -6F outside with windchill, and this past week we've even had -22F...

After driving my wife's 335i with the 8 speed transmission and seeing how low RPM's are on highways, I'm loving the 8-speed transmission, which means I'd be getting the RWD. I also love the faster shifts... and hate that bump near the driver's knee.

But the downside is going to be snow and ice handling. Snow tires are mandatory here in Quebec from october to march, and I plan on fitting WS70's, probably the best handling non-performance winter tires on the market (have them on my car right now and they're fabulous!)

So I would like to get any opinions and inputs on the matter? Anyone here drives a 350 RWD with winter tires in the northern states or Canada? How do the drive aids compensate for the absence of AWD?
