Lucky my Lexus dealer had an allotment for a ultra white / rioja red. The car will be built on Sept 16 and hopefully they will have it a month from then. Mid Oct / Nov possibly sooner.

Got 2 years service, tinted windows and all weather floor mats thrown in the deal. Couldn't get them off the sticker there was someone else trying to buy the car as well. They didn't have deposit money.

Thx. They only had a IS250 Fsport to test drive. Had to drive a regular IS350 to get a feel for the motor. Can't wait.

Car was set to be built today in Japan so it should be complete by now since it is already 6:30pm. Now the waiting game to see when it makes it to port and onto a ship. Guessing 3 to 4 weeks if I am lucky.

"Someone is trying to buy the car as well". That's like the 5th time I read that here. Is that a selling ploy Lexus is using?

I'll let you know if and when I head over to Lexus for a test drive.

Oh, and congrats on your purchase. I would probably wait til nov / dec though. I want to pay as close to invoice as possible.

The salesman tried to sell me on two other colors he had coming in one silver and one black. So he had to go into the system to see what other cars were coming that had not been built yet. The only ultra white / rioja red left was set to be built on 9/16/13. He printed out the build sheet along with the build order which also includes the VIN.

So hoping it isn't a ploy but got the colors I wanted with the options I wanted.

Congrats on your car from another Katy resident. I bought mine from Sterling McCall 2 months ago. Mine is IS350, non F-Sport, with a few additonal options. Nebula Gray with Black interior.

Found out from the dealer my car ships on Sept 24. Looks like it will be here at the end of Oct.
