Not sure if this is a repeat. When your range hits 20 miles, NAV automatically shows you the nearest gas stations around

I normally don't wait till I'm near empty to refuel, but I was preoccupied and stressed out yesterday lol. Wasn't paying attention. But yeah NAV shows a message that you're low on fuel and then the screenshot I uploaded above appears

Cool, but it must be a setting in the nav, as I've been running mine down to a range of 10 miles, and have done for four tanks now. No POI indicator coming up. I'm doing it to see how the tank range varies over time. Of course it my be a different setting option you have in the US that I don't in the UK.

I'm getting about 465 miles to a tank. Remember I'm running on the 2.5 hybrid and not the engine you guys have got!

I've run mine down as low as 15 and didn't have the fuel thing pop up. Maybe it is a setting though. Cool if it is.

I'm lucky to get 300 miles on a tank of fuel. Small fuel tank and about 95% city driving unfortunately are my main factors I’m guessing.

Nearby gas stations do pop up on my Nav screen as well.

Just found out today a little annoying part of the new key fob if you valet park a lot, with the leather holder, the key release button is now at the bottom... need to remove the fob from the holder in order to take out the key...

Surprises never cease. Has anyone ever noticed the gradation changes in the tachometer starting between 4 and 5, then more noticeable between 5 to 6, then 6 to 7?

Did not realize this till it was mentioned in the BEYOND magazine by Lexus.

I read that part, too. This is what Lexus is famous for -- attention to fine details.

Here are some of my observations of the new 3IS compared to the 2IS.

Good things:

1. The first opening position (1st click) of the front doors of 3IS is actually smaller than that of the 2IS. I noticed that in my garage where I need to open my driver's door against the wall precisely. This is really an improvement.. it makes the doors easier to be manipulated in a tight parking. A person cannot get out of the car when the door is in the first opening position but it is good for taking something out of the car in a tight parking spot.

2. When being folded, the side mirrors are closer to the car than in 2IS (despite for 2IS, the side mirrors are already folded quite nicely)

3. There are two light bars beneath the "mouse" of the remote touch when the headlight is in ON position.

4. For non F Sport in North American market only --- since the rain-sensing wiper is activated by pushing the button at the end of the stalk, the one time wiper action can still be achieved even when the rain-sensing wiper is on. It is useful to someone who wants to do some semi-auto action on the wiper movement.

5. Despite the pop-up hood is not installed in North American destined IS, the hood has double hinges on each side.

6. In a quiet area, there is a buzz with the HID when it is on for the 2IS. For 3IS, buzz is no longer present with the HID.

7. The water channelling structure of the front windshield black plastic (the portion visible only when the hood is open) is improved. Less water seems to be trapped after a car wash

8. There is a tiny opening for each cutout (where you put the clip) of the plastic covers under the hood. I suspect the reason is to reduce the accumulation of fine sand and dust. In 2IS, there is always some fine dust accumulated around the cutouts.

Bad things:

1. The default for opening all windows and sunroof remotely by holding the "unlock" button of the smart key is off. So a trip to dealership is needed

2. No on/off switch for the trunk light

Anyone notice intermittent wiper speed stalk position is now reverse? I remember for 2IS, stepping down position is fast and up is slow. Now up is fast and down is slow. Caught me off guard when I started to use the wiper first time it rains here. Wiper switch is not mechanical anymore also.

I've had my IS 350 F-Sport for a week now and have come to find some things which really annoy me:

1. As someone said before, only one 12V outlet located in the center console. I use a radar detector with a spiral cord and have to let it dangle with the arm rest open for now.

2. Associated with the previous, as on the 2IS they were together, there is no ash tray. I am not a smoker but found it perfect for coins. There is no apparent place for coins now.

3. There is no overhead LED mood lighting as in the 2IS and find the cup holders to be pitch black when driving in very dark areas making it hard to grab my cell, which I keep there, or drink.

4. I feel the space in the glove box is even less usable than the 2IS. I used to be able to fit the manual, two sunglass cases, and a small umbrella in there. Now the umbrella will not fit without removing the shelf.

5. The LED headlights are NOWEHERE near as bright as the 2IS HIDs. I often find myself trying to turn the high beams on when they are already on.

Can windows be closed and opened with the key fob? Sorry I haven't gotten the car yet.

In my door handle there is a small dimple and if I put my finger on it, the doors lock. Is there a way to unlock them using the handle? I suppose I should RTFM. Thx.

Your delivery specialist should have shown that feature to you when you picked up your car.

You just grab the handle to unlock (assuming the key is on your person)
