Does the rattle noise happen when you hit bumps on the road and comes from the bottom of the car?

When i got my car back in July 2nd I heard a rattling noise as well from the bottom driver side. I found the issue here and this worked. Check this link and see if Putting the parking break over night work for you. It did on mine and havent heard the noise again.

oh thanks, but i always use the parking break so i dont think it's the issue , it's the rear door c-pillar.

Not good news to hear with the first-year model. I hope this doesn't become a common problem, but if it does let's hope Lexus figures it out and fixes it quickly.

My 4GS is a first-year model and has been flawless for 15 months (so far).

I find this suspicious, I had a rattle in my seat. Dealer heard it and had engineers come from corporate to record it so that it could be eliminated from the manufacturing process (if it was endemic to the process) and then they went ahead and fixed it.

You're claiming 3 rattles and no fix? What's really going on?

Some dealers are complacent and just outright lazy. Sometimes they will take a car in, not be able t reproduce, and say it was fixed. Then there are the dealers who really do a good job. Unfortunately, a bad dealer usually can't be fixed quickly because the issue usually systems from the top and goes down. A change in staff is what's required.
