You are definitely right about the color temperatures but the LEDs will not appear more bright. They put out much less lumens compared to the HID lights on 3IS. Our LED technology is not up to snuff yet compared to some other brands. We are using only single emitters that put out about 1400 lumens.

Great read so far. With all this talk of LEDs, you guys forgot to mention laser light technology. I don't know much about them other than they are badass. Any insight on this from our light experts?

Honestly, the LED headlamps on my Gen3 IS350 aren't too bad and are pretty bright at night. I have some custom HIDs for my FT86 and the LEDs aren't to far off. Plus, it gives me more play on utilizing the power on an audio system.

So does this mean it has a chance to make it to the US market since it's not a laser that gets emitted that can possibly cause damage to opposing driver's retinas?

I think its too dangerous to have laser lights.
and i am not a true believer of automatic high beams.
because its dangerous for other.
especially the time taken for the sensor to "detect" an oncoming car. the oncoming car wouldve been blinded already.

I sometimes wonder if my stock headlamps are too bright as is. I routinely get flashed with brights by oncoming cars because they think I have my brights on. Very annoying. I'll have the headlamps checked for alignment next time I bring it in but I'm pretty sure they are good.
