Default All-Weather Floor Mats or no?

1) If I were to get all-weather floor mats, I believe that I have to remove the existing carpet mats because I need to lock them on the floor to prevent them from moving around?

2) If I don't go with all-weather floor mats, what options do I have to keep the carpet mats clean? Is there something out there (not thick but thin?) that I can put on top of the carpet mats?

IMO, I think all-weather floor mats make the cabin look ugly, but I want to keep the carpet mats clean at all time. I'm little a*nal about cleanliness. For now, I've put a big sheet of cardboard on top of each carpet mat.

What's wrong with carpeted floor mats? You'd seriously rather have cardboard on your floors instead of any floor mats?

Easy solution: Use carpeted floor mats, vacuum once a month, and buy new carpeted floor mats every few years. Your carpet will remain clean and you won't have ugly all-weather floor mats or cardboard in your car.

Get these. You can put them over carpet floor mat, you cannot lock them down but they won't slide around much. I have them right now in my car.

Great, this is what I'm looking for, but I'm not sure whether they will fit AWD because of the hump on the driver side.

Sorry they won't fit. You can contact the vendor to see if they make AWD version.

I have ordered all weather mats from www.cocomats.com These high quality mats are custom made for your specific car and come in a variety of colors/patterns. I have been very happy with them in past BMW's and Audis my wife and I have had through many New England winters. I plan on getting them for my 2014 IS350 F Sport Nebula/Red when it comes in three long months from now.

Forgot to mention that these mats are absolutely beutifful, well crafted and continue to look new ffor the liffe of the car.

There are several solutions, one have allready been posted.

Some other solutions, these depend a bit on where you live and how the climate are.

Use a fabric sealer like chemical guys fabric sealer:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LOT-OF-2-Chemical-Guys-Fabric-Guard-Protectant-16-oz-/130949860131?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e7d384b23&vxp=mtr
If you have something like this on your carpet, it will be a lot eaiser to clean.
However, if you live somewhere where it snows half the year, or rains all the time, the mats are hell to keep clean. Then a fabric sealant is not enough.

If you buy a set of all weather mats, then put some vinyl shine like armour all or other similar products on them. It makes them look a lot nicer, and you avoid getting that grey dirty finish that rubber mats eventually get.

Not exactly true - my 6-year old stock all-Wx mat has worn through where my accelerator heel goes (IS250 AWD). I just ordered a new set of front ones for $60 from Sewell.

But I don't mind the look of the stock all-Wx mats. I use them (front only) all year around. Feels great to get in the car after a messy rain, and know that I'm not going to mess up the carpet. Just take the mats out the next day and hose them down!

Has anyone found a place to order carpet mats for the Rioja Red interiors (the mats have red stitching rather then white). So far I have just seen the white ones available...
