Unhappy help me with factory fog lamp bulb size?

just picked up a starfire pearl today. Everything looks amazing except the yellowish stock fog light. I looked through the user manual and couldn't find it. Seems like its H11 or H7??

It is probably H11 for the fog in the regular 3IS, if Lexus continues their pattern. The current RX and the later years of 2IS use H11 for the fog.

Best bet is to contact your dealership parts department.

Be a pioneer! Just remove the bulb and take it to an auto parts store (kragens, o'reilly). Sometimes the bulb size is printed and on sometimes its not. Either way they'll tell you and then you can tell us!

Toyota/Lexus is switching most of their cars over to lower wattage bulbs, including the 3IS.

They are H16 bulbs.

(Coincidentally, this information is in your owner's manual).

Thanks Jeff. It is a useful info as I haven't got my new regular 3IS yet but was pondering to get some aftermarket light bulbs prior to the car delivery.

I have never heard or seen H16 at all. New to me.

Jeff,

It's an interesting looking bulb... I found conflicting photos for H16 / 9009...

Couldn't find any OEM photos online.. OEM Part# 90981-13090

Jeff - which book and page are you looking at? I can't find that info on the Bulb replacement page.

Thanks,

I haven't been able to figure out how to access the fog light bulbs. Also, does anyone have a suggestion as to what "color" or brightness will match the LED headlights?

6000K should be spot on.

Go with the H11 LED bulbs. I would suggest going with 5000k for the best match to your OEM HID low beams.

I ordered mine from Xenondepot a vender here on CL. I'll post some pictures soon.u76

Thanks, my headlights are the LED ones so I might have to try a few different ones to get a match. I will post my results once I get a chance to do this. So does anyone have any idea how to get to the bulbs? When I looked before it looked like everything was closed up and I'd have to go through the wheel well

We have H11 and H16 LEDs and HIDs instock for the non F-Sport 2014 IS models

They have a different base and therefore they are not interchangeable parts.
