Anyone know where/what hitch is available for the 3IS?

What did you decide to do? Pics? I was thinking of just putting the seats down and putting the bike in the back. When you go on the Lexus UK site and "build" the IS 300h it lets you add a tow hitch as an option. Here is a helpful thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...k-options.html

I actually bought a sea sucker. I'd suggest just putting it in your trunk if you are going single.

However, since I have to transport two bikes, I will put one in the trunk and one like this:

Neither are my pictures -- been too busy to bike.

I don't like taking the front wheel of my road bike off and on. Also....I am short and I have no desire to try to get my bike on the roof of my car. I would certainly scratch the paint! I will just try to get it in the trunk. I will post a pic if I do.

I am considering an IS 350 Sport. Question - With the seat folded down, is it possible to get a road or mountain bike into the trunk?

The manual says do not install a hitch. Even if it's only used to hold 1 bike.

What do you guys think about the Curt Hitch for the 3IS. Does it sit too low? I thinking of getting one for a bike rack.

Why not? The 3IS has an OEM hitch in EU.

IMO Sport Sedans aren't made for towing. That's why God made SUV's. I also think a tow hitch takes away from the appeal of the IS.

Good point, but it's just for a bike rack. I'm just trying the avoid damaging the paint mounting and dismounting trunk or roof racks.

If the IS is your only car option I would have to agree a hitch would be safer for a bike carrier vs. anything else as far as the paint is concerned.
