What your friend in Hong Kong described is the non-Nav system as no nav is available for the 3IS models there, according to their brochure. Only RX, GS and LS have the nav option there. And CT is missing that option as well in HK.

Guess that means the issue is with Nav and non-nav 3IS

Have any of you taken your vehicles in for dealers to inspect?

When I first got my car the second day screen pop up to ask to update firmware. Did you guys go that? My system isn't slow, only in the beginning when I had just start the engine but it's probably loading a lot of stuff.

I have the 300h with navi and ML, and it has rebooted at least three times in 2400km. The map on the home screen won't show unless I switch to navi mode and back to home. I don't think it's slow.

Are you able to successfully update your firmware? Mine keeps failing at 2%

How do you get it to update firmware ? Does it need to connect to an internet connection via your phone or wifi ?

Update at home with Wifi connected to you smartphone if you can. I didn't do it this way since I have much faster 4G LTE on my phone and it was updating while I was driving. I took about 20 min to finish.

For those of you who are stuck at 2% while updating Lexus Apps, your previous update may be corrupted. I think mine may have failed around 40%, anyhow, try deleting your personal data. After I did that, the update was smooth!
