FYI
I bought a ATEQ quickset and a VT30 this week and i want to program my Lexus IS 2014 F-Sport TMPS

I had to use the ES 2013 model in the quickset to be able to get it to work since the IS 2014 models are not in there, The new TPMS method used for the ES 2013 is exactly the same new type as for the IS 2014

I was able to read my ECU TPMS id's ok and then i used my VT30 to read my IS 2010 TPMS wheels that i kept for winter.

The i wrote them back into the Quickset and was able to download them back into my ECU of my Lexus IS 2014

The only problem is that the IS 2010 TPMS's are not compatible with the technologie of the Newer model IS 2014 or ES 2013

I will get the TPMS changed and i will try back , i'll let you how things goes ......

Ok , i went to the dealer and got 4 new TPMS installed and programmed

Its working perfectly , showing the 4 tires pressure individually

Got back home and read the sensors ID with the ATEQ Quickset ok , notice that the actual order is not the same
as showned on the Quickset , i reused the VT30 to confirm, not a big issue

I'll be able to reprogram my Summer TPMS sensors in sping then again next winter.

I have saved all the informations on my laptop , in regards to TMPS ID and real location on my car.

Hope this help everybody , using the ATEQ Quickset and VT30 , for Lexus IS F-Sport 2014

Thank you for your feedback svalour.
Do you have any part number for the TPMS sensors you got from the dealer ?
Could you please specify the order as your read it in Ateq Quickset ?

Bonjour svalour,

Great !

On the left side is what you can read on Ateq programmer and on the right the location on the car, am I right ?

(Glad to see there is an automatic built-in translator in the forum )

By the way i found a site with an online parts catalog for several Lexus models with prices.
What's is interesting is that you can browse all the parts from drawings get the price and references for each. There is also hybrid IS 300h model inside. I haven't seen any online parts catalog for this model yet.
I'll try to include the link below but I'm not sure I'm allowed to do that as a new user.

Hi Svalour,

My dealer is telling me the brand new Lexus TPMS sensor id's in my new wheels cannot be read with their scan tool and they must remove the tires to physically look at the TPMS id's on the units. Are you saying the ATEQ VT30 absolutely does read these sensors and it will display their id's on the VT30 screen? If so, I am going to get a VT30 and walk in and show them how crappy their own tools are!

Thanks

Hi Svalour,

I bought the tool and tried it tonight. Tried to read the TPMS by choosing Lexus in the menu and it didn't work. I then tried using Toyota and it worked but it is only showing me 6 digits of the TPMS id's. Is your VT30 showing you all 7 digits? Our TPMS sensor id's are 7 digits.

Which item did you choose in the menu? Which version of the software is your VT30 running? Mine is version EA1-07.

Thanks

So the 3IS doesn't have the capacity for two separate sets of TPMS? I guess I will go without them for my winters then...

Also, anyone can confirm that the 2IS TPMS work interchangeably with the 3IS TPMS and onboard reporting system?

The 3IS does not have capacity for 2 sets of TPMS sensors in the ECU.

The 2IS TPMS will not work with the 3IS System.

I just received my tpms sensors from Sewell. Will have them installed in my new wheels and use the Techstream software and cable to program them.

Is the ID the 7 alphanumeric number highlighted in red?

Yes, that is the 7 digit hexadecimal id that you need. You will also need to keep track of which sensor is installed at each wheel so the Lexus Tech can program your ECU properly.
