Avg 23 to 24mpg, mostly use sport mode because of how I drive. I noticed I got 22 mpg on normal, and 20 to 22 on eco.

Just over 2K miles and every fill up I'm between 24-25mpg. The mpg is slightly improving with time.

I drive about 60% highway. Eco mode on highway and normal in the city. I rarely use sport and drive easy.

Year: 2014
Engine: 250
Powertrain: RWD
City/Highway as a percentage.- 80% city, 20% hwy

Average: 20 mpg

I guess one think I like about my GS is it doesn't tell me how crappy my mpg average is

Since I haven't heard of anyone complaining about this lately I'm guessing everyone's is improving.

My 350 went from averaging 22mpg to 24mpg with about 50/50 freeway/city split. This is driving either in Sport or Normal mode or both with a few romps each tank. No attempt to better the average, just normal driving.

This last tank was 25.4mpg but the After Refuel gauge said 24.3mpg. The last few tanks my gauge was only off by 0.3 but this tank it was off by 1.1. Got 369 miles on the tank and the low fuel light didn't even come on. This tank was mostly Normal mode. Still had some romps, like to shake off the grasshopper swarm that has this town under siege right now.

I thought I'd share my past few Fuelly.com entries

Tank #, Date, Miles driven on tank, Gallons, MPG

25 5/19/14 217.0 12.90 16.8
24 5/9/14 229.0 15.36 14.9
23 4/30/14 231.0 15.23 15.2
22 4/18/14 249.0 15.38 16.2
21 4/8/14 218.0 13.21 16.5
20 3/30/14 265.0 15.72 16.9
19 3/15/14 217.0 14.24 15.2
18 3/5/14 251.0 15.44 16.3
17 2/14/14 235.0 12.19 19.3
16 2/8/14 339.0 14.24 23.8
15 2/6/14 245.0 14.73 16.6
14 1/23/14 288.0 15.68 18.4
13 1/15/14 224.0 14.95 15.0
12 1/3/14 199.0 15.10 13.2
11 12/13/13 110.0 7.15 15.4

This gives an unweighted mean of 16.6 MPG... Pretty horrible. My 2011 IS 350 averaged nearly 18 MPG and
that was under the same driving conditions; mostly city and spirited :P

PS - 90% City Driving, save the one line on which I got 23.8 MPG.

Still getting an abysmal 13 - 14 mpg's.

On multiple 'test drives' dealers have claimed it gets between 17 and 20, a lie.

Who else is getting below 15 mpg's?

I'm just shy of 5K on the clock. My driving mix is about 70% city 30% freeway, and I'm averaging a little over 20 mpg, most of it in sport + mode. In a recent 1000 mile road trip, I averaged 25 mpg (in eco mode). Seeing what others are experiencing, it's not too bad. OTOH, Honda's new V6, which almost as powerful as Toyota's 3.5, gets 21mpg City/ 34 mpg highway on regular fuel. Honda does this through cylinder deactivation (at speed).

I think most of us agree the IS 350 needs more grunt, but one would hope that without it, the compensating virtue would be better gas mileage. Toyota's V6 is refined, but it's a dated engine in terms of both performance and mileage.

I filled up today after almost 1 month and got 21.7 mpg. This is one of the worst mpg's I ever had.
Not much highway, mostly city driving and even if I was on the highway was stuck in traffic.

Just with the weather getting better, every car should have naturally improved.

You guys with abysmal gas mileage must drive in some extremely thick city driving most of the time. Do you drive with the A/C blowing full blast 100% of the time too? I try to keep my AC with 1-2 bars of fan speed. But after living in DC I can see how driving in thick city traffic in a high humid climate (less oxygen for the engine) is going to severely decrease fuel economy.

There is always Tesla! ...or the i8 if you have the money.

IS350 F-Sport averaging ~24.7 MPG. That's about 3 MPG better than winter.

Do note that I had one tank average 13.2 MPG above. My car would be in the 15 MPG range had I not driven to Miami and West Palm Beach (all highway).

Do you plan to bring this up to your dealer?

Thanks.

What's the use? We all know they will answer with, "Tire pressure. Driving style. Traffic." blah blah.
