When going over bumps on my new 2014 is 350 F sport
I'm hearing a clicking/ rattleing sound coming from front or back of car

Try this for me..... On your next extended parking period.

Full press in and engage your Parking Brake Pedal.

Then on your next drive, see if the noise is till present.

Chances are the Parking Brake cable has some slack in it.
(Had this exact problem MY08 IS350 Sport Package)

Let us know.. Hopefully the noise disappears

Yes of course...

It creates tension on the cable.. And since the cable hasn't been used yet, there probably is too much slack on it currently..

After 1-3 nights of having the Parking Break Pedal engaged FULLY, the noise was gone.

From time to time I still do this on MY IS-F, just to ensure that tension is placed on that cable..

There are some cases when a dealership trip will be necessary to adjust the tension on the cable if the noise persists.. (Assuming the noise is indeed coming from that cable)

I easily created the noise going over the small white bumps found on lane dividers.

Regards,

~ Joe Z

Agreed. If that turns out to be the issue, I nominate this thread for the FAQ sticky.

I had this same issue the day i drove it home from the dealer. Thought it was weird as I had never heard that before in my other IS's. but then again I got my new car from a different dealer this time that was further from my home. I always engage the parking break. I only hear it intermittently now, nothing like when I first drive it home. But it's great that Joe was able to provide the info to give us 14 IS owners peace of mind so we don't start flooding the dealerships with this issue

Thanks fur the info.
