My suggestion is if you're getting the 250...never drive the 350.

HAHA, I'm chuckling because deep-down there's probably some truth to that in my case despite having owned a Venza 3.5L, a current RX, and driven various loaner ES 350s... yet somehow I have a feeling the direct injection on the 3.5L makes a big difference over the straight-line acceleration and experience I had with these other vehicles.

Ignorance is bliss

Yeah those vehicles with the 3.5 and the IS with the 3.5 is a different story...

Its like when I bought the Jeep...I deliberately never drove the Hemi model.

Or just wait. Lexus is going to replace the 2.5 V6 with a turbo-ed 4 soon. Turbo'ed engines have better tuning results. Just saying :P

Not to mention the carbon buildup issue with the current 2.5.

What he said is true. After driving the 250F and seeing its price tag, it is hard to pull trigger for something that has only 200hp. Got me to think for forking out extra few k's for the 350F.

The turbo four is slated to first appear on the NX by end of 2014 as a 2015 model. So earliest for the IS is likely in 2015 as a 2016 model year so 2 years from now at least would sound about right.

Yep, I would agree.

Too far off and uncertain to wait if you need/want the car now.
