What would you offer as a realistic OTD Price on a cash deal?

$38500 OTD
I'd try it, but dealers probably won't bit initially. If it's a cash deal, they may look at it again or negotiate. Dealers don't own the car, banks do and they have to pay the bank until the car is sold. So use that to your advantage

You can try. Edmunds true market value comes in just over $39k so you would add tax and tags and add-ons to that. But if you can do better, more power to you since it is a year old. $38.5k + tax, tags might be realistic, but 38.5 OTD is a good starting point.

Im in Delaware so Im not expecting a Cali deal but this is what my local dealership is offering: 24 months, 12k per year
UW/RR IS350 FSPORT w BSM, NAV, rear lip

Due at signing about 3k
MSRP $49774
Selling price 47k? (He said they knocked $1900 off and quoted me at 47k...doesnt add up)
Residual 65%

Not sure about the MF but Im most likely Tier 2 so its a little different than what you guys may be getting. I see numbers giving
A residual of 72% for 24/12. I also told them that I only want to pay for normal docs at driveoff, which shouldnt be 3k.

He says that I dont know where I got the 72% (saw on edmunds) and they dont have a residual that high. I asked him how close to $450 he can get with just taxes, tags, and fees.

Am i on the right track?

seems a bit high, have you tried reaching out to other dealers? Even if you have to go 1-200 miles its worth the trip to save a couple grand.

The numbers clearly dont add up!! It so much more. I cant belive that reaidual on the 24m is 65% seems low. Even with MF 0.0000 is about $662
using 65% when I change to 72% i get $550/m using zero MF

.

Just to give you an idea, is250 blk and white edition msrp 47,300 sell peice $43,200, $3000 ot of pocket tax inc, $399/m
Is what a buddy of mine got Western NY. You should be able to get it for around $45,000

Even if I change to sale price of $45k with MF.001 its about $550. That is using zero out of pocket!!

$526 with $2500 down? 65% RV? The only way you can get to $450 is : with $3000 down payment, sale price $45,000 and Residula $35,000/72% which I believe you are correct. Very mich doable but it wont be easy!! You can do it!

These are the residuals out here in Cali (at least until tomorrow) that were available to me when I leased my IS250 a little over a week ago. Not sure if they are nation wide.

IS 250 residual 24 mo @ 10,000 mpy = 74%
IS 250 residual 24 mo @ 12,000 mpy = 73%
IS 250 residual 36 mo @ 10,000 mpy = 66%
IS 250 residual 36 mo @ 12,000 mpy = 65%

IS 350 residual 24 mo @ 10,000 mpy = 73%
IS 350 residual 24 mo @ 12,000 mpy = 72%
IS 350 residual 36 mo @ 10,000 mpy = 65%
IS 350 residual 36 mo @ 12,000 mpy = 64%

My dealer just offered me this deal. Can you guys rate this and tell me how good this

deal is? I've seen someone in here with much better deal back and I'm afraid I might regret it when a better deal comes up.

Just looking at the above quote makes me sick.

It's total bull**** when I see dealers tack on all these fee's. I know the state and federal has to get there piece of the pie but...

$29.00 for "other"
$29.00 for "electronic filing"
$80.00 for "documentation"

The smog and county fee's I understand but that's $140...

Yep, the. They will add some kinda mandatory tire service $299, and interior protection package $199 etc..you have to fight them to get that crap off. Pia

Actually CA is not that bad because the dealer doc fee is capped at $80 - check out some of the other states' doc fees that can be as much as $7-800 sometimes. You can challenge the $29 other and electronic filing fees, but geez, you're buying or leasing a $40-50k car - c'mon. Concentrate on getting the best discount possible and those small fees are of little consequence - and some of them are valid government mandated fees - can't blame the dealers for that.
