So the maintenance warranty wasn't worth it correct? I declined it.
Also, did anyone get extended warranty?
And anyone get a clear bra in the bay?

2015 IS250 F-Sport UW/RR
Navigation
Blind Spot Monitor
Accessory Package (Mats, Cargo net, wheel locks, rear bumper application)
MSRP: $43,499
Price before TTL: $38,860

Spent a bit over a month looking for this car for my sister and negotiating with many dealerships and boy did I get tired of hearing the whole "This color combo and interior is extremely rare, sorry I can't go any lower." Spent a lot of time checking dealer inventory around my area and I'll admit that it was very difficult to find one in the spec that I liked. Went to many dealerships and couldn't find the car, only to get the salesman to try to sway in to buy other color options. Many of them wouldn't even want to negotiate with me although I said I'd be willing to wait for the next ones to come in on the UW/RR combo. One dealership offered me 42,700 OTD over the phone (about $100 cheaper than what I paid) if I committed and was to wait for an incoming car. I waited a few days to negotiate to see if I could get a lower price (work schedule) only to have them tell me not to come in and that car had been sold for something close to sticker price.

A few days later, another dealership called me and told me that they had the car I wanted at the port and would save it for me and not list it in their inventory online if I wanted to look at it first. Checked their online inventory to see if they were bull****ting me and they really didn't have that combination in stock online. The closest dealership that did have it online was about 90 miles away, emailed them to ask them if they can quote me something close to what I had gotten, only for them to email me back a bull**** response telling me what the MSRP was and to come in to negotiate. So I ended up telling the dealership that called me saying they had the car at the port to tell me when they actually have it in the dealership. He ended up calling me two days later saying that it has arrived, checked their inventory online and he really didn't list it yet. Came in the day after he called and negotiated the price above, but was a bit reluctant to give us 0.9 APR because of first time buyer and no loans or anything on record (788 credit score). Ended up pushing for 0.9 and getting it but I wasn't too happy I only got about 10.6% off MSRP. Told me he could even do $600-$1000 better if it were a different color combo but we were set on UW/RR. It was taking up a lot of my time during the holidays, plus this car was for my sister and she was getting annoyed as well so we gave in.

Probably could have done better if I was a bit more patient but at least 10% right? Just happy to have the car now, everyone in this thread has been plenty helpful.

I ended up buying at Putnam because out of all the associates, Putnam was the nicest and Longo pretty much ticked me off with their email by George(So please avoid him). Clarissa was great to deal with by the way.

That's a good deal. Congrats! I paid pretty much the same price at Stevens Creek. I agree Longo was a pain to deal with, they did the same thing to my parents, but Stevens Creek is definitely not like the arrogant people at Longo. I'm surprised Putnam was that nice. I went in there once in 2012 and again July of this year, and both times they didn't bother paying attention to me or helping me so I am never going to Putnam ever again even though it's the closest dealership to where I live.

Extended warranty is not worth it as these cars are made with very high quality and attention to detail, so usually it's a rip if you buy the extended warranty.

I got my clear bra done up here in Belmont at Auto Pro Films. Full Hood, bumper, side mirrors, and front side panels for $1300. He did a good job.

So I guess I read your 2 threads about this. Just left you a comment on the other one. Anyways, I tried pushing the same 42K offer for an IS350 here in CT and they said NO! I said to them I would've even take the Nebula Gray Pearl w/ Stratus Gray interior - still they said NO. Ended up settling for an IS250 (MSRP 45,700) for $40,000 + TTL. I would still try pushing your offer. If not, get up and go elsewhere! There's always somebody willing to do business with you

Forgot to add...

The '12 IS F - are you referring to an IS250/350 F-Sport or a real IS-F? That would change the scenario

If that out the door includes sales tax and all fees, sounds like a pretty good deal.

Congrats and enjoy your new IS!

Hey guys I am here new here an in the market for a is250 or is250 f sport.

Wanted to know your opinions, I haven't yet gone to a dealer to fully discuss numbers etc but I have been emailing a rep from a dealer.

current promotion for a lease down here is 155/month 7,500 miles for 27 months with like 3,xxx down
or
$295 sign and drive 0 down (excludes taxes / fees etc)

The current deal:
I want 15,000 miles so rep emailed me back with...

Base Lexus IS250
345/month , 15000 miles 27 months ||
$1,390 down at signing (includes taxes etc) (only amount due at signing)

rep does not know about my 1,000 grad incentive yet.

The deal via truecar which states 35k he says he is beating that and he can show me when I come in.

thoughts?

There are lot of things you need to know:

a. Negotiate sales price of car - it will determine your payments
b. Know the money factor (MF) - it will also play a role in determining your payment. MF is based on your credit score
c. Never put anything down on a lease - just do the "drive-off" fees (registration, taxes, 1st payment, dealer fees, etc.)
d. You may be able to negotiate the MF and residual value. It all depends on the dealer you're dealing with.
e. Don't purchase any extra warranties or protection plans - they're a rip off!

Always get as many dealers involved as possible. Start with the Internet Sales department. Negotiate, negotiate, and negotiate. Let us know how you do!
