Ofcourse you can, it's all part of negotiating. Special order from the Lexus means the dealer still gets the invoice price of the car minus discounts on how well they perform selling cars in their dealership.

Thanks
I just didn't want to have to come back home to SD and have to settle with more than or less than what i wanted, but still able to work with the price. Do you know if you have to put any money down for special ordering?

Realistically, you will probably not get as good of discount on a special order as you will on an in stock unit - for obvious reason. You might get a decent discount if you are an established repeat buyer with the dealer you want to place the order with.

I've seen this as well with a few CL Members.

That's exactlly what I was thinking, due to the fact that I would want the car to my specifications. I would be a first time buyer from lexus but my parents are both repeat buyers so hopefully that helps out. Keeping the Lexus line going in the family

VERY NICE! What was the negotiated price if you don't mind me asking. Thank you
It is a dreadful wait till December for the 2015 model but it will be well worth it

Thank you! I think I did good! Not the best deal but in ohio UW/RR is rare combo. What model are you looking at to get in the 2015 model? Was debating waiting for 2015.

So just an update on this. I didn't actually get the car at that price, just threw that number at them to see if they would negotiate. Turns out they didn't even want to, and never responded back to any of my emails. Anyway, that was at Lexus of Stevens Creek in San Jose. I now have a decent price at $42,888. Just a quick question for you guys though. When you ask for a price in writing, is that just an email saying that they will offer it to you at the price, or is it an actual invoice with the discounted price? Because all the invoices I've gotten are at the MSRP of $48,298. Is an email with the number good enough to convince another dealer of the competing price?
