For anyone who is looking for an excellent deal in the SoCal area, ask for Rex or Leo at Tustin Lexus. They will go the extra mile to make you a happy customer. Plus, they were able to stay competitive with the best that Longo could do.

Can you post the deal and car with specs you got from them?

It was good because I got the 1.9% APR as well.

MSRP: $48,148
I got it for $42,495 - $1,000 College Grad Rebate = $41,495.

6.6k off MSRP

dude, 41495 for OTD price of IS 350?! Unbelievable! I went to longo too. I got similar price, but it is IS 250 F sport.

There are tons of 3IS's on the lot at Longo. I believe some people are getting great deals there. Dealers get people who come in and pay full MSRP and people who negotiate and get a little under MSRP and others who get slightly over Invoice. Then they get a few who really research and do the leg work and can get below Invoice and even fewer that play hard ball and get way below Invoice. In the end the dealers and Toyota/Lexus still make a lot of money.

These deals though that some are getting are really good. Just for example it's almost as good as my employee pricing. MSRP $39,700 vs $33,700.

There was no intent to offend anyone with my statement. If I did offend anyone, please accept my apology. It's just a head scratcher to see some of these numbers. Some seem too good to be true. Congrats to those who are able to get these deals. And for those who didn't, like me, tough!

350 a month? i find that impossible, unless you got the IS350 selling price down around the lower $30k area… which i believe you won't be able to get.

350/month is not that hard to get.. if you do some calculation

24 month / 10k / 75% residual
about 44k selling price, 48k msrp
money factor .0005 (1.2%)
1000 down
1500 driveoff

total with tax = 350/month

With all the great lease deals, I may lease mine when it arrives, turn it in after 2 years and buy the mid-year refresh or the new ISF.

There are rebates for the dealerships so that well under the invoice price, they'd still be making money. People don't have to believe my numbers, I'm just here to get people informed on what kinds of deals there are in SoCal. There are a lot of Lexus dealers around here and I started off researching quite a while ago. There were also 3 dealers competing for my purchase; it is too easy to play them against each other.

It's been said that 70-80% IS sales are the IS250. That leaves 20-30% for the IS350. Most people wouldn't get the F-Sport either, so that cuts the % down quite a bit as well. Moreover, the people that get the F Sport tend to get the Ultra White color, which is exclusive. This Nebula Grey was on stock at the dealership and I brought all these numbers up to haggle; telling them they can either let it sit longer, or sell it to me. Just gotta be aggressive

Its also safe to say cars that don't have ML and/or VGRS are sitting. Deals can be made on these. I was offered $3000K off invoice for one.

For those of us who are holding out for VGRS with ML by having the dealer locate, get off of a boat or order and are getting $XXXX.00 off invoice are true negotiators.

or lucky. Pick one that suits you.

LOL

Car dealers get cash back incentives from the manufactures that we the consumer don't know about. Off the top of a new car they can take 6-10 grand off msrp without these incentives which is how they can sell a car a few hundred over invoice, at invoice or below and still make money. They also can have 2 invoices, one they show us and the real one.
When I bought my car in 2008, the msrp was 41,000...I pd 32,900 out the door. 250.00 over invoice price.
Used cars...there is less of a margin so less negotiating.
Same went for my daughters Audi, though I paid 100.00 over invoice price.
How do I know this...my family owned a large dealership for over 20 years.

I believe this. Think about it, how many cars do they have to sell at $500 over invoice (is their cost is truly invoice they publish) to pay for all the operating costs! There must be more that dealer is getting or making on each car including service after sell.

So how do you find out the true invoice cost on these cars including dealer incentives from factory?
