You first visit the Costco auto program website: http://www.costcoauto.com/enterzipco...2fdefault.aspx
There you submit the information about the car you want, your location, your contact info, and your Costco membership number and they'll match you with a nearby dealership. You get some kind of confirmation letter that you can bring to the dealer, but the dealer also gets sent your information so they will automatically contact you too. Costco does not tell you how much the discount will be (they just give you the MSRP and the invoice amounts).

For some dealers, you can just walk in and tell them you have a Costco membership and are looking for the Costco discount, and they will give it to you.

The dealers have a pre-negotiated price with Costco, I'm don't know if it is the same deal nationwide. During February, the price was $400 below invoice for the dealers around Southern California (that's somewhere around $3,200 off MSRP depending on the configuration and regional fees). That's the price you'll get without having to do any negotiations. Supposedly the discount changes every so often.

HOWEVER, most of the time you can do better than the Costco discount with a bit more negotiating. So go ahead and ask the dealer what the Costco discount is, but then try to get them to give you a lower price than that.

Did you take it? Was this after any cash back (college graduate?) If you don't mind PM'ing me the contact info, please do! Shopping in Houston today, but wouldn't mind coming up to Dallas. Thanks!

With or without any rebates i.e. college grad, APR cash? If without, that is a killer deal on a 350 white/red combo!

Did you just ask if $500/month for a IS250 is a good lease?!

Considering the $4k from the '09 I don't think it's that bad.

I think it's a very bad deal. You get an IS350 for less than that. Do yourself a favor and pay the 4k or sell it yourself. I bet the dealer low ball you on that. Than you can get a lease in the 300ish a month. My 2 cents.

I've decided to go with a 228i, but thought any Bay Area guys might be interested to know that with just an inquiry through TrueCar, Putnam's first e-mail said they'd go 42888 on an IS350. I'd have to confirm its the F Sport + BSM + ML but thats what I specified.

Any other confirmed deals on a 350 Ultra White/Rioja Red? Half of the dealers are using this color combo as an excuse to charge more. Very lame...

Taikien - when did you get your IS? I was told that there is no Lexus loyalty credit right now ...
