Yeah - I thought they somehow were getting him to 44.5 trading in his car - but if he's at 33k with the trade, that's more like it.

You're better off going into the dealer and asking them to see what they can find for you. I've been using the dealer sites and they're rarely updated with accurate inventory. I found the most effective way to find the car I wanted was to go into the dealer have them search their own inventory, and they also have access to an internal Lexus site that shows which cars are coming in and going where.

There is dealercash offered by Lexus financial for 14 model. But it is possible to get $5000 off on 15 model so even if you got $7000 off from msrp u didnt do any better than others who got 5g off from msrp considering dealer gets 1800 from dealer anyway so techinically u r getting same discount for one year older model. And u said it even had couple hundreds of miles already. I would say it is a decent deal if you got $7000 off msrp before $1800 dealer cash incentive

Could you translate this for us?
Was this response meant for f16mobis1?
If it was, that's why I inquired as to what the msrp was - that way, we can determine if he got a good deal or not.

Yea knowing msrp will help us evaluate the deal. But a lot of times, the dealership doesnt tell you about these incentivs and they'd rather say they are giving more discount because of this and that
I doubt if he got much better discount than many people are getting on 2015 model Although he thinks he got a hell of deal. In the end, he paid $1800 less for the car and dealer made a same profit as they would do by selling 2015s. Obviously 14s dont come with certain things like 15s do such as ventilated seats etc
He got the car for 38250. Dealer sold the car for 40050 with dealer cash incentive. I know u can get 2014 f sport 350 with navi for 46999. So if thats the case. He got $7000 off msrp. Compare to 5200+ on 2015 model. Now the question is. Was it really worth getting 14 over 15. His car will be 2yrs old soon from manufactured date. Obviously resale value will have huge hit compare to 15s and like i mentioned those things are missing on 14 model too
I wouldnt have done that especially with hard pushed test droved 261 miles. Maybe i wouldve if it was a lease instead. But lease rate is horrible on 2014 even with $1800 dealer cash rightnow
But if he doesnt care too much then he got the car for a lot less than msrp!
