Default 3rd Generation IS Sport Cross?

Would you do it if it were an option?

Sorry, but there is no need for this. Lexus is better off making an IS-F version of the RX.

Yes I would.

It will attract a lot more buyers in Europe with it. Especially company car buyers.

Why not? Just add more sales by having more body styles.

IS-F version of the RX? You mean RX-F?

Yes. I do mean RX-F. I wanted to say the performance of an IS-F rather than just an F-Sport Version like BMW does an M version with their X-5.

What is it with Europeans and station wagons? Is their lifestyle so much different than ours that it requires a different kind of trunk???

If I could get it in 350 AWD sure. The render says 350, the brakes say 250

I'd respectfully challenge the real question is "what's with American's?"

Why do we now detest station wagons when we used to make and sell them in droves? Why do we love driving around in hulking SUV's that are usually way more than our families need? But I understand... tastes and styles change. And Lexus is just being real. The RX and forthcoming NX will cover that segment just fine, and sell way more copies than a 3IS Sportcross ever could, at least in this market.

I owned a 1st gen Sportcross and should have kept it.

well I guess it replaces SUV/Pickup/Van that every american family has? Since Pickups or Vans are almost non existing category here, especially bigger ones. Pickups are literally only base versions for certain type of work, and cars like Sienna dont really exist anymore.

I personally dont like them but when I looked to buy A4 in Germany, it was very very hard to find sedan... most of them are station wagons.

That's what I'm talking about. I'm not comparing station wagons to SUVs. I mean to compare station wagons to sedans.

well, it looks good, drives good and is as practical as SUV. So why not? If you look at Audi, BMW , Mercedes for example, their wagon versions actually looks better than their sedan. Then they have the ultimate version of it like S4, RS4, RS6, AMG C63, E63 wagons etc. It would be so cool if Lexus makes a IS-F and GS-F wagon.

I would definitely buy it, but I'd also settle for the sedan... which is exactly why we don't see wagons anymore. Most people prefer sedans for god knows what reason and those of us that prefer wagons will generally settle with the sedan or buy a more practical SUV.
