Anyone hear that the IS is being delayed a month?

The delay to mid July is accurate. I heard the same from my dealer. Orders can be taken and cars have yet to be allocated to dealerships for the first allotment. Dealerships know production specifics for their region and can reserve any vehicle. The funny part, however, is that there are a couple of options available that Lexus has not determined the price on yet. I am looking forward to seeing it in July.

Navigation w/ Mark Levinson
Rear Sunshade
Blind Spot Monitor
Dynamic Cruise Control
Variable Gear Ratio Steering

it just launched in Japan, maybe it is in big demand there? New Crown is selling like crazy.
Also - interesting part - Lexus plans for 7000 sales per month worldwide, 800 in Japan... kind of low if you ask me and only 50% more than GS. I got that from Japanese news release.

If it really is delayed, this will be one of the few times a dealership actually had it right. Usually they say anything to get the general public to keep buying cars that are already on sale.

Just heard back from my Lexus dealership salesman.
This new Is250 will be out in the late July to early August time frame. Looks like the price will be in the low $40’s since Lexus is putting in a few additional options in the vehicles for our region of the US. They will not make a base vehicle unless special ordered. We also believe the lease will be in the mid to high $500’s which is way off from what I can do for you on the IS250 now. - Sales guy email from May 25th.

Pricing is mostly known. There are some individual options that Lexus has yet to set a price on. Also, my dealer said they will not know what the leasing program is going to be until indroduction.
