I don't why those press pics include 3IS in white, 2IS F Sport just looks better than white 3IS F sport IMO, well at least at the front view.

Regardless of color I am still a fan of the 2IS, I might learn to like the 3IS at some point but not right now.

It's really good to see the evolution of the IS line. A solid balance of sport and luxury really shows how well it's received worldwide. I find it odd, however, that Lexus decided to leave the "LEXUS" badge on and leave the model number off, even though it's seen as the plate holder.

I don't know if it's the camera angle, but the white 3IS seems to have the biggest front overhang. A pet peeve of mine with cars.

I think these pictures confirm it for me. I'll keep my 2IS for the foreseeable future. It just seems much more refined and smooth/sleek looking as compared to the chopped up look of the 3IS. That rear end is just hideously boring and clunky, which is the polar opposite of the front end with downs. However, on the otehr hand the 3IS' interior is pure sex aside from the pleather.

They change drastically from one generation to another because it seems Lexus only redesigns their cars about once every 52 years.

I guess this is good since they can spend a lot of time with R&D doing it this way. And hell they look pretty good for many years. I was however getting sick of looking at the 2is. The 3rd gen. is awesome. All it needs is some bigger sport wheels and a nice set of coilovers and it will be ****.

That 2nd gen IS250 F-sport still looks best of all 3. The headlights on the 3rd gen IS look really bad. Both in photos and in person.

I think the IS finally has personality. The 2IS never did much for me. It was sleek, sure, but pretty bland. Character is good in a car.

Lexus always got that right and is slowly developing its heritage with generational photos. I never understood that with brands that change names and drop names all the time where people are confused and you could never have a photo like this.

The leap in design from 1IS to 2IS is immense! The 3IS is clearly new but the leap is nowhere near as great expect the front.

Very nice pics!
