Default 2014 Lexus IS has grown on me

At first I thought that Lexus ruined the car with the headlights, but I like the organic headlights now. Together with the whole design, it looks super futuristic especially in this shot uploaded by Lexus Manhattan on Instagram. This shot to me makes the IS look way better than the other cars in this segment. Put me in the camp that likes the regular IS more than the F-sport. The only thing I don't like about the regular model is that the Lexus logo and the grill are not meshed in together, it's like they cut out an oval on the grille and plopped the logo on it.

Overall, I've grown to really like the IS and I'm sure it will look even better in person.

Yes, real world photos show it off so much nicer. Still think this non f sport grill looks better even though its not perfect it breaks up some of the massive feel of the f sport. Oh and did I say I love the fog lights.

One of the nicer angles of the new IS! I still like the non-F-Sport grille better too.

It's certainly not a boring body. I will give it that. I too have warmed up to it a bit, but would have prefered some tamer lines. The F-sport is defnitely out for me.

It's one of those cars that will be better in person. And shortly after it's release everyone will be like "oh I love it" ... I hate the masses...

Hope to snap some pics (if they'll let me) in April when I fly down to SoCal for training on the 3IS!

I think there will be a lot of folks who will soon prefer the gril of the F Sport due to the regular 3IS's grill with it's mixed match combination of honeycomb mesh on the bottom and the horizontal grill on top EWWW ???

This photo clearly shows that design flaw but a simple check of the F Sport option can easily fix it !?!?

That's an easy fix for the exterior. By clicking F-Sport you will be giving up those extra creature comforts such as ventilated front seats.

You can have your cake in this generation, but you can't eat it. Similar to the GS. Base, F-Sport and Luxury. Some things you can only get on F-Sport or Luxury and the same applies to the 3IS

I don't know about that, but my friend has 2 LX570. One from Germany, and another one from Middle East. The quality and engine reliability of German LX570 surpasses the one from Qatar by much. Maybe he imported a lemon, I don't know.
