Default Just got my first Curb Rash :(

Hey guys,

So I just got my first curb rash I don't know how I got it since I just went to the store amin away. I'm thinking it's because I went over a unpaved patch on the road and a rock or something scratched it. Nonetheless I have my first rash haha.

Anyone know how much something like this would cost to fix? And is it an easy fix?

It's a very easy fix just call around for an estimate. I'm sure they want to see it before they tell you over the phone and it shouldn't be much

Is it a mobile wheel repair guy? I know a place that powdercoats all 4 wheels for about $250.

Looks like standard flat black paint. From the pics, I see no actual alloy damage; use touch-up paint to cover up the bad spots. OR...pay to have the entire thing re-done.

Matte black touch up paint pen or matte black spray. Spray may suffice since it's in an inconspicuous area. Tape off the area and sand lightly to expose the bare surface (confined to the area) and then spray. Since it's matte black it shouldn't be too hard to find a match.

Haha that was going to be my suggestion too! I remember my first car, that thing was covered in sharpie.

I would very carefully and precisely, mask off the surrounding area, then just hit it with flat black spray paint. I don't think that damage is bad enough to warrant getting the whole rim repaired and it may even end up not matching perfectly. At least with just touching up that small area, it will blend in and be less obvious.
