Hmmm... I'm just brainstorming here peeps. But with the front F sport sway, my thinking is that a sudden jolt experienced by one corner would be shared a little bit more across the entire front end causing less of an impact.
Also, what about that f sport chassis brace?
Just spit balling here people... Trying to think of a way to proactively mitigate this from happening.

Well LEXUS called me today and gave their answer. THEY SAID THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS AND I MISHEARD THE DEALER, ADJUSTER, MANAGERS, ETC... THEY SAID I AM THE ONLY PERSON THAT HAS EVER HAD THIS HAPPEN. They said it is a crumple zone and is supposed to do that!
Well, i am enjoying a new BMW. I was going to buy a new GS or RX but that is no longer an option. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LEXUS!
Good luck guys, Lexus will not stand behind their defect... they will have to get sued to make it right.
IF ANYBODY WANTS TO JOIN IN A CLASS ACTION SUIT WHO HAS HAD THIS HAPPEN, PLEASE PM ME. I AM CURRENTLY SEEKING COUNSEL WHO WANTS TO PURSUE THE ISSUE

Sorry for your confusion I looking to hear from someone that has had the damage taken care of and repaired through insurance.
Just as an FYI it may be a good idea to inform the insurance companies, they will for sure sue Lexus and make sure they pay for fixing the cars. Or insurance companies will stop fixing the damaged cars.

my insurance fixed it. they advised me, as well as sewell lexus, that it will happen again. it is just a matter of time. their is no fix. that is why we got rid of the car. what sucks is that it was almost paid for...
now I have 3 years of higher insurance premiums for choosing lexus. Thanks Toyota!

Interesting. Sorry for your loss. Its terrible to have BS like that happen to you. Is blowndave the only one that’s damage was enough that it needed to be repaired through insurance or do most people just have a dent in their roof?
Would be good to make a new thread with a poll and see if there is a trend through the years. Maybe less common in the later years.
How many people have had it fixed through insurance?

Come to think of it...Same here, driven over pot holes at speeds anywhere between 40-70mph few times since getting my used '06 IS350 and no signs of misalignment/roof dents so far... Thank God.
