Disappointed
Bought my 08 is250 awd 7 months ago, since i've had it air bag light on, rear right axle went back, now i have an exhaust leak. Just broke 100k miles and only put 3k on it since i owned it. I'm a very conservative driver i am not hard on the car at all i basically go from paint a to point b with no hot rodding, this car is def not as good as my is300 was. Anyone else disppointed? I guess i will be going to the exhaust shop to find the leak.

All models with any manufacturer have issues, especially ones with 100k miles. Just because it is a Lexus doesn't make it immune to having issues. Yes, some are lucky to get 200k miles without a single issue; but unfortunately that cannot be the case across the board because all environments/vehicle service history/drivers/driving style/etc are all different.
Just be thankful you didn't purchase a 100k mile used BMW!

I agree with this 1000x ^^
I had the unfortunate experience of purchasing a high mileage BMW (I was younger and didn't really know anything near what I know now about car buying lol) . Worst car ownership experience ever, especially for a first car!!

Yeah the IS350 is definitely more reliable. But don't give up on your IS250 OP!! There are definitely cars that are waaaaaaaaay worse than an IS250.

I don't consider that to be bad at all for a car with 100K miles. I'm at 80K and I've had the engine replaced, ECU replaced, catalytic converter replaced, water pump, alternator, exhaust leak, and maybe other stuff I can't remember. Have an Audi S4 with same miles, no problems yet.

From all my Toyota and Lexus ownerships 100k usually isn't nothing on them.
My Is300 was rock solid, i bought it with 80k miles put up to 136k miles absolutely no issues unlike my is250 has had. Never had to replace anything but the brake pads, filters and oil.
My ES330k rock solid, no issues over 100k.
My 99 corolla bought with 100k put 165k replace the starter at 140k "that's it"
2004 Solara bought with 70k put 156k miles absolutely no issues at all.
This is what i say from experience my other toyota's have been rock solid reliable for the most part. Maybe as Jennie said the earlier owners were neglectful to have it maintained like it should be. I'm thinking of selling it and moving to something else. I wanted to keep it and do some things but im not sure if i am going to.
