Anyone else have this issue? Once in a while, sporadically, when I go WOT for a couple gears it happens. It will tap limiter once and then shift. Usually only one gear. I ride around in ECT PWR mode permanently.

I've never been around or driven an automatic that did this that Wasn't slipping.

Normal, this transmission does not hold gear.

Never happens to me in my 2010 IS350 . I don't permanently ride around in ECT PWR mode though, cant imagine that would be good for the tranny. There are some others that recommend driving around with PWR mode on and its supposed to be better.

I'd say it has only happened to me a handful of times in my 4yrs of owning a 2IS. One time it was while at the track when shifting from second into third...full AUTO trans mode, no paddles. Oddly, this pass was a my fastest pass to-date...see sig.

Riding around in ECT is better for the trans.

I have only felt it a handful of times, I did a flyby yesterday to my friend and he mentioned he heard it tap limiter once.
