Default How can people afford all their mods?

Hey club lex members! I'm on a mission to mod my car from top to bottom and I was wondering how a lot of car owners can afford so many mods and stuff on they're cars? I mean they're not cheap. I also wanted to know how you can get sponsored I mean is there a certain level you need your car at? Thanks guys I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person on here that would like to know either. I fully appreciate the help!(:

Save up, watch the classifieds, and strike on good deals when you can. Some things are just going to be expensive. The best thing you can do to save yourself from spending more than you need to is to have a plan or direction that you are going in with your build. That way you aren't going through 2 lips before you find the right one on number 3. I learned that lesson the hard way with my GS. Went through 5 grills before I found one I loved... then I sold it lol.

Slow and steady for me. Just chipping away at it.

Slow and steady wins the race...A lot of our builds are years in the making.

I've been thinking of this ever since I laid my eyes on the build threads haha. Definitely whats been said (also from experience), you have to plan ahead, and do tons of research, and ask lots of questions
I like the idea of "phases" or "steps"... This way instead of splurging on tons of parts, unless you are completely set on an idea, you can build and develop over time, and therefore order parts over a longer time period so it doesn't hit your wallet all at once. After compiling parts for the past few months, and many prior months of research, Phase 2 starts for me in a week

I did mine the opposite way...was living with my folks still for a while and I have a good job. I went at it and if I liked something I bought it. No replicas and 25K in 2 years. The car was beautiful....then I sold it with ALL the parts for 22K. Such is life.

As far as getting sponsored, it's not easy. Usually you have to either have a car with what you plan to do and sent a proposal letter to the company or have the car done up already and then ask for what you want. Many companies aren't just giving their stuff away like years ago. Good luck with whatever happens.

Modding is proccess. It takes time to get parts after parts. Lexus isn't cheap even for used parts lol. Do lot's of research and reviews for your parts that you want. It takes dedication and once your in that bug mod zone. Its hard not to stop. Because theres always unlimited amount of things to do that makes things better or looks better. Everyone has there own unique style. Thats why we all create our own art to show to the car industry. More power ? More Stance? Up to you ! :-)
