F sport exhaust and torque loss
Probably a dumb question but couldn't find an answer when doing a search. I have an F sport exhaust on my car for about a year now and I noticed that when I initially accelerate I don't really feel the torque I use to have when my car had a stock exhaust. When my car was stock acceleration wasn't bad but with the exhaust on I feel like I have to gas it a lot more just to get the car going. Is this normal? My mpg went from 25 to 21 from the install probably due to accelerating more.

Usually an aftermarket exhaust will increase the torque in the middle of the rpm band (for the 2IS), so it's interesting that you are observing these issues. I would double check for leaks in your exhaust and reset your ECU by pulling the negative terminal off the battery for a good 5 - 20 mins like what smoky mentioned. The car will relearn your driving habits and can probably iron out those issues if it's a computer related issue.

I might be the minority here but I feel that the low-end torque of the 2GR-FSE is fantastic for what it is (3.5L V6). The 2GR-FSE with the D4-S is capable of transmitting 90% of its total torque output from as little as 2,000 RPM which is a pretty impressive feat for a naturally aspirated V6 engine (IMHO).

That is hard to believe that the IS350 has ~250 torque at 2k rpm. Feels like it has 50lb-ft of torque at those RPM.
My friend's Corolla that has ~120 torque feels like it has a lot more low end power than the IS350.

I am going to say I can feel the same thing when I put on my Invidia midpipe. I don't think I noticed any difference when I had put on my M2 exhaust though.
Since the Invidia pipe, it feels like when I hit the gas it has to really build the RPMs before it takes off. It's quite annoying, especially after going around corners. It's making me have to use the paddle shifters to keep the car from shifting up.
I have also noticed a decrease in gas mileage, but I figured that could have something to do with driving harder to hear the car growl.

Pretty much anything that improves airflow will move the torque band higher I've learned. I learned this big time swapping the intake manifold on my e36 and exhaust on an older is
