Default Help is Much Appericiated! [Transmission problems]

I own a pass down IS250 06 with 170k Millage the engine seem running just fine but My VSC Light came on and goes away on its own. When I drive It doesn't seem to go pass the 3rd Gear. If I was to drive pass 50mph it would be revving at 4-5k rpm. 5-6 gear seem to not be working I got the Code Check out at a local mechanic shop for free and got P0761 solenoid C stuck off, P0751 solenoid A stuck off. He quoted me at 3K for a transmission rebuild, he also erase the check engine light which gave me a temporary fix because my car seem to be running okay...But i know its a matter of time before the vsc+ engine light comes on again. Ive read few thread from people that had solenoid replace but the problem kept reoccurring. I don't think I want to go that route. Anyone experiencing the same problem with a Fix? or is it time to save up for another transmission. Sigh..

I'd bypass the rebuild and just look for a lower mileage replacement trans.

^^I'm with Gville350. Look for a used low miles transmission.

This is what I would do. Maybe not a civic but trade it in for sure!

Any update on these solenoid replacements? My gearbox doesn't shift past 3rd when the lights two solenoid C and D codes are on. But shifts fine when I manually do it.

The fact that two solenoids are giving errors but the gearbox seems to be okay mechanically, would it suggest a wiring or tcm issue?

Anyone know the correction for this issue short of a new transmission?
Do you have picture to show which solenoid is which when taking out transmission pan?

My car is at dealer now till Monday. I got code P0894 and P0761 two solenoid are bad. When I check at Oreily Auto parts. One a while it stuck on 3rd gear until I switch to S mode.

you could have a wiring issue that is causing this. two solenoids at once seems a little weird. either that or a computer issue
